5 Best Cornwall Holiday Lodges - 2025
We’re big fans of posh holiday parks which offer lodges and call themselves things like ‘resorts’ and 'spas'. Unlike caravans, lodges don’t wobble in the wind but you still get access to indoor swimming pools, hot tubs and kids’ activities.
We’ve picked five of the best lodges in Cornwall by looking at facilities, price, location and reviews. Some are near the busy central resort of Newquay whilst others are near the quieter Lizard Peninsula or Bude in North Cornwall.
For our price comparison we looked for a family of four staying for a week in August 2025. We looked for the cheapest lodge on offer, but didn't include caravans in our searches.

1. St Ives Holiday Village (indoor swimming pool, good value, 10 minute drive to the beach)
**Winner: best value Cornwall lodge in our top 5**
**St Ives Holiday Village Offer: save up to 30% on last minute deals + use code EBIRD10 via this link to save 10% on Summer 2025**
John Fowler Holidays has several holiday parks in Cornwall but our pick for a lodge holiday St Ives Holiday Village. You'll find it at the western end of Cornwall, not far from Penzance and Marazion.
It gets positive reviews of 4/5 on TripAdvisor or Google Reviews and has a choice of two bedroom and three bedroom lodges.
Some come with hot tubs and they are much lower priced than a lot of lodge parks in the Westcountry. In fact, they're a similar price to a lot of caravans which are much more cramped.
John Fowler class it as one of their 'Big and Lively' parks, which means that things like an indoor swimming pool with a flume, kids' clubs, a playground, sand art, kayaking and other activities in the swimming pool, evening entertainment, mini golf, table tennis and pool tables.
The location is good if you don't mind the initial long drive.
You can drive to St Ives Bay in 10 minutes or drive to Marazion Beach to see St Michael's Mount in 15 minutes.
Price: £1746 for a two bedroom lodge with a hot tub for a week in August 2025. That’s for a family of four and is a similar price to what you would pay for a caravan at some Cornwall holiday parks. They also have some three bedroom lodges without hot tubs for around the same price.

2. Gwel an Mor nearish St Ives (indoor swimming pool, fantastic facilities, hot tubs, short walk to beach)
If you can afford it (and pronounce it) I’d have a search for Cornwall holiday lodges at Gwel an Mor. It gets rave reviews, has a seaside location and outstanding facilities.
It certainly isn’t the cheapest holiday park you’ll find but it scores 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews.
Its onsite facilities are particularly good if the weather doesn’t live up to the brochure, with a large indoor soft play area and a climbing wall, as well as an indoor swimming pool. There are also places to eat, a fishing lake, tennis and a small golf course (bear in mind you’ll pay extra for some things).
The lodges at Landal Gwel an Mor get very good reviews. Some have hot tubs and some are designed to provide easier access for people with disabilities and mobility issues. A few of the lodges are pet friendly.
The beach at Portreath is a short walk away (about 10 minutes) or popular places like St Ives, Perranporth and Newquay are close enough for a day trip in the car.
The location is getting towards the far end of the Cornwall coastline, so it’s a long drive and is perhaps one for a week’s stay rather than a weekend.
Landal are a big name in parts of Europe, but they're less well-known in the UK. They've got about ten sites across the UK.
Price: £1799 for a week in a Scandinavian lodge for a family of four in August 2025. The cheapest lodge with a hot tub was £1979 when we checked.

3. Haven Perran Sands Holiday Park (hot tubs, sea view, beachside, surfing lessons, loads of activities)
**Haven's Offers: Summer 2025 from £215 + Christmas 2024/New Year from £99**
Haven is best known for its caravans but they do have a small number of lodge-type properties at Perran Sands Holiday Park.
They’re called Emerald Lodge and they come with two bedrooms and an en-suite. There’s also some outdoor space for al fresco dining.
Perran Sands is one of Haven’s more popular holiday parks and it occupies a prime location alongside a sandy beach.
Unlike a lot of lodge parks in Cornwall, Perran Sands has a jam-packed schedule of activities which you can join in with (or ignore completely). There’s a surf school, six different playgrounds and six restaurants and other places to eat. You can choose from an indoor swimming pool or an outdoor pool, depending on the weather. The indoor swimming pool is a good size, but it is quite a straightforward swimming pool rather than a waterpark which you get at some Haven resorts.
As with other Haven resorts, you can watch shows for children and grown ups. There are also some activities that you pay extra for, such as minigolf or bungee trampoline.
Perran Sands is a dog friendly holiday park.
Reviews are generally positive, with an average of 3.5/5 on TripAdvisor or 4.3/5 on Google Reviews.
Price: £2799 for a week in a lodge for a family of four in August 2025. The price is for the standard ‘Haven’ holiday option, which means you can use the facilities. You can save about £130 if you choose the Haven Hideaway option which means you just want the accommodation and access to the restaurants.

4. Caddy’s Corner Lodges nearish Falmouth (quiet site, basic facilities)
You won’t find a swimming pool or loads to do onsite, but we’ve included Caddy’s Corner Lodges because of the outstanding reviews for its accommodation.
It’s a little way inland, but it’s a good base for exploring the Lizard Peninsula or visiting Lands End. You can get to the beach at Praa Sands or to Falmouth in about 25 minutes in the car.
It’s a quiet site, so don’t expect a man dressed as a dog to be offering non-stop kids' entertainment.
I’d say it’s ideal if you want to drag your children away from their smartphones for a few hours. There are lots of lodges with hot tubs at this one.
Price: £1225 for a week in a Hendra lodge with a hot tub for a family of four in August 2025.

5. Piran Meadows Resort and Spa Newquay (indoor pool, family friendly, hot tubs, inland)
Piran Meadows Resort and Spa ticks pretty much every box for me. For starters, the lodges and resort get very good reviews of 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor.
There’s loads on site including an indoor pool and sauna, bowling alley, restaurant and a programme with things like archery, fencing, horse riding and water activities.
Lots of the lodges have hot tubs for those who enjoy outdoor baths.
My only slight complaint is that you can’t walk to the beach from Piran Meadows (it’s 10-15 minutes to Newquay in the car). Having said that, it’s well placed in the middle of Cornwall so you can get to either end of the county in about an hour if you don’t get stuck behind a tractor.
As you’ve probably gathered it’s aimed at families rather than couples, so don’t expect to avoid children here.
Price: £2175 for a week for a family of four in a Truro Premier Lodge in August 2025. It's worth noting that they also have caravans which were from £1005 for the same week.

Price comparison: 5 of Cornwall's best holiday lodges
For our price comparison we looked for a week's holiday in a lodge for a family of four (two adults and two children) during early August 2025. There's some variation in what is considered a 'lodge', but we went on the holiday park's own definition. You'll usually find that a lodge is considerably wider than a 'caravan' or 'holiday home' with full size beds rather than the rather narrow single beds you get in most caravans. Some of them came with hot tubs.
