5 Best Skegness Caravan Holiday Parks 2026
Skegness (or SkegVegas as most of the East Midlands calls it) is jam-packed with caravan holiday parks, but the quality varies somewhat.
It's a good spot for a holiday if you like traditional seaside amusements, massive great sandy beaches and chips served with chips. It's also the nearest beach for large chunks of the East Midlands, so it has a nostalgic appeal for many people who endured long car journeys for the sake of a few hours at a windy beach in January.
Skegness is also a cheap place for a holiday with caravan park prices notably cheaper than those in somewhere like Cornwall or Devon.
We've picked five of the best holiday parks in Skegness by comparing prices, location and facilities - and by visiting the parks for ourselves.

1. Haven Skegness Holiday Park (great reviews, indoor swimming pool, walk to the beach)
**Haven's Offers: Last minute bargains from £49 + Christmas 2025 from £109 + Summer 2026 from £159**
If you're looking for a family-friendly holiday park in Skegness that gets very strong reviews and is walking distance from the railway station then I'd start by looking at Haven's Skegness Holiday Park.
It was previously known as Richmond Holiday Centre before Haven bought it and renamed it in 2022. We've visited it a couple of times since then.
Haven Skegness is well equipped with an indoor swimming pool, playground and sports court as well as evening entertainment. There are also kids' activities and extra things you pay for.
The swimming pool is more of a straightforward pool, rather than one of those fun pools with flumes, rapids and water jets that hit you in the face.

Location, reviews and prices at Haven Skegness
Haven Skegness Holiday Park isn't right on Skegness seafront, but you can walk to the pier and promenade in about 20-25 minutes (perhaps longer if you are carrying a windbreak, bucket and spade and a two-year-old). Quite frankly, even when you get to the sand at Skegness, you've still got an almighty trek before you actually reach the water...
Reviews are impressive, with a score on TripAdvisor of 4.1/5 and 4.4/5 on Google Reviews. That gives us an average of 85%, which makes Haven Skegness one of the 10 highest rated in the UK. A lot of the reviews related to its previous life as Richmond Holiday Centre but let's not poop the party.
Price comparison: £725 for a family of four in August 2026 in a Saver caravan (i.e. the cheapest grade). This is the price for a standard Haven holiday. If you don't want to use any of the facilities, then you could have picked a Haven Hideaway holiday for £555.
If you go for the cheaper option, you can still use the restaurants, but you can't attend shows, go for a swim or do any of the other activities. Here's the official guide to Haven Hideaway, or you can read our blog on what we think of it.

2. Southview Holiday Park - indoor pool, short drive to the beach
**Southview offers: Caravan holidays from £99**
Parkdean Resorts has two holiday parks along Lincolnshire's east coast - Sunnydale (just north of Mablethorpe) and Southview Holiday Park (in Skegness). They were previously Park Resorts caravan parks before the two companies merged a few years ago.
Southview gets better reviews then Sunnydale and is a good choice if you're looking for a cheap family holiday in a busy caravan park. We've visited both resorts and much prefer Southview over Sunnydale.
Much like Haven's Skegness Holiday Park, it has an indoor swimming pool, which is essential if you endure a week of torrential rain. There's also a sauna, nine hole golf course, sports court, gym, playground, gaming arena, gym, climbing wall, minigolf and restaurant. I imagine the fishing lakes are the clincher for a lot of dads looking to escape for a week (or mums of course...). It is classed as one of Parkdean's 10 'Action Packed Parks', which are those with a better than average range of activities.
It's a particularly good choice for dog owners, as it has a 'Woof Park' - otherwise known as a dog agility course.

Location, review scores and prices at Southview
I'd say the main downside is that Southview Holiday Park isn't walking distance to the seafront, unless you have a decent pair of walking boots and children who are more willing to walk than mine. It's two miles from Skegness railway station and it's a similar distance from the beach, so you're likely to need a car.
Reviews average 3.8/5 on TripAdvisor or 4.1/5 on Google Reviews - or 79% overall. That's lower than Haven Skegness Holiday Park but is about average for these larger, busy holiday parks. There is a wide range of caravans, so pick carefully and long in advance if possible, to get the best choice. Here's our guide to the Parkdean Resorts caravan grading system.
Southview is sometimes referred to as a 'Leisure Park' instead of a holiday park. I'm not exactly sure why that it is but there's no real difference that I'm aware of.
Price: £765 for a family of four for a week in August 2026 in a six berth Ashbury caravan

Our visit to Southview Holiday Park
"One thing we liked about Southview is that it is quite green and leafy. Several of the rows of caravans have trees along them, which breaks up the fairly straightforward layout."

3. Haven Golden Sands - drive to Skegness, two swimming pools, adventure activities
**Winner: best value Skegness holiday park**
**Haven's Offers: Last minute bargains from £49 + Christmas 2025 from £109 + Summer 2026 from £159**
Haven's Golden Sands holiday park is actually in Mablethorpe, but Skegness is about 35-40 minutes' drive away (Mablethorpe to Skegness is about 15 miles).
The indoor swimming pool at Golden Sands is bigger than average and has a waterslide. There's also an outdoor pool that is heated, thankfully.
There's an 'adventure village' that has some free things such as a playground and sand pit as well as some things you pay extra for, such as a high ropes course, 'The Jump' (see the photo), bungee trampolines, archery, a go kart track and a climbing wall.
Less adventurous activities include minigolf, fishing, pottery painting, sand art and den building. There are also shows in the entertainment venue for children and grown-ups.
There are three places to eat onsite including a Papa John's Pizza. As with most Haven holiday parks it is right next to a beach and this one is also near to a seal sanctuary.

Accommodation, reviews and prices at Haven Golden Sands
Haven Golden Sands has most of the usual grades of Haven caravan. The cheapest option is a 'Saver' caravan followed by Bronze, Silver, Gold and 'Signature'.
We've done a full comparison of the different grades of caravan but key differences are that the more expensive caravans are wider and are more likely to have freezers, dishwashers, towels and extra TVs. Saver caravans don't have central heating and double glazing so you might want to upgrade in winter.
At the time of writing, Haven Golden Sands scores 4.3/5 on Google reviews or 3.7/5 on TripAdvisor, giving an average of 80%. That puts it slightly behind Haven's Skegness Holiday Park but a whisker ahead of Parkdean's Southview Holiday Park.
TripAdvisor only gives scores in halves so the big difference between the scores on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews may mean that Golden Sands is on the brink of scoring 4/5 on TripAdvisor.
Price: £669 for a week in a 'Saver' caravan for a family of four in August 2025. The accommodation only option was £499 but we've given the price including use of the facilities.
In other words, Haven Golden Sands is slightly cheaper than Haven Skegness, but there's only a few pounds in it for the dates and accommodation that we looked at.

4. Butlins Skegness (large resort, excellent swimming pool, celeb shows, funfair, beachside)
Butlins Skegness is on an entirely different scale to the other holiday parks in the area. There’s really not much need to explore beyond the site if you’re staying for a few days. The beach is directly accessible and there’s a big range of things to do around the resort.
If you’ve not been to Butlins then you might see it as a bit of an old-fashioned holiday, but it’s come a long way in recent years. Reviews are respectable at 3.7/5 on TripAdvisor or 4.3/5 on Google Reviews, which gives us a score of 80% (i.e. 5% lower than Haven Skegness).
There are three Butlins in the UK and over the years, we've changed our mind about which is best value. In some years, Skegness has been better value than Butlins Bognor and Butlins Minehead. Other years, it has performed less well. Read our comparison of the three Butlins resorts to read our latest thoughts). This may sound negative but it really just shows that the three resorts are of a similar standard.

Swimming pool, activities and prices at Butlins Skegness
One of the main attractions of Skegness Butlins is the swimming pool, which opened in 2013 after a big refurb. It’s an impressive swimming pool that has seven different features including three flumes and river rapids.
Unlike Center Parcs, several other things are included in the price at Butlins Skegness. For example, the site has its own funfair with eight different rides that you can use as much as you like during your stay. In 2023, they opened the Skypark, which describes itself as 'the UK's most exciting playground' with things like 'the UK's longest interactive seesaw' (don't ask me where the second longest is).
If you pick the right week then you’ll be able to watch a show from a visiting celebrity. In recent years that has included Justin Fletcher, Milkshake Live and Diversity.
There are also several activities that you can pay extra for such as bowling, minigolf, laser tag and pottery painting.
Much of the entertainment is based in the Skyline, which is visible from across Skegness.
Price: £900 for a Standard apartment for four people in August 2026. That includes two bedrooms and a kitchen/lounge.
The main choice for accommodation at Butlins is between a ‘room’ that doesn’t have a kitchen or an ‘apartment’, which includes kitchen facilities and living space. If you go for a ‘room’ then you usually pay less but you would then need to pay for the breakfast and evening meal buffets package (or live off Pot Noodles).
If you get an apartment, it’s up to you whether you want to cook for yourself. There are restaurants onsite if you decide to occasionally eat out, but the buffet is better value. The cost of a 'room' was from £875 for August 2025 but they aren't really comparable to Haven and Parkdean's caravans so we haven't included them in our price comparison.

5. The Chase and Grange Caravan Park - quiet park, basic facilities, very cheap
**Winner: Cheapest Holiday Park**
The Chase and Grange Caravan Park will appeal to those seeking a quiet base for exploring the area. It's also one of the cheapest caravan parks we've found in the UK.
The main issue is that it only has very basic facilities. You couldn't exactly spend the whole week onsite as there's no swimming pool or much for children to do, but it's in a fairly good location for exploring.
It's a 10 minute walk to the beach at Ingoldmells but you'll need a car/bus if you want to travel in to Skegness (it's about 5 miles to the Pier). It's walking distance from Fantasy Island, which is a popular attraction.
Reviews vary, but its average score of 78%. It scores 3.5/5 on TripAdvisor and 4.3/5 on Google Reviews. That's lower than others in our top five
