5 Best Blackpool Caravan Holiday Parks - 2025
Blackpool has a decent selection of caravan holiday parks, ranging from quiet parks with basic facilities, through to large family friendly parks with swimming pools, kids' clubs and loads of activities.
We've picked five of the best caravan holiday parks in Blackpool by comparing reviews, facilities, location and price. Some are quite near to the Lancashire coast and Blackpool Tower itself, whilst others are a short drive out in more isolated and peaceful spots. We've also picked a range of accommodation options, including some posher lodges and some cheap and basic caravans.

1. Marton Mere Holiday Park – busy Haven park, lots of facilities, outskirts of Blackpool
**Haven's Offers: Autumn 2024 from £69 + Summer 2025 from £195**
Marton Mere is a Haven holiday park, so it’s ideal if you are looking for a busy caravan site with plenty to do with a young family. It’s certainly not ideal if your holiday priority is complete silence and isolation.
There’s an indoor swimming pool for those unexpected torrential downpours as well as an outdoor 'Space Bowl' flume. There is also kids' entertainment from enthusiastic people in costumes, sports courts, a bar and restaurant, play areas, adventure golf and evening entertainment for grown ups.
A lot is included in the cost of the holiday but there are various things you pay extra for, such as a pottery painting activity, archery and fencing.
There’s an outdoor ‘splashzone’ that is only open in summer (though I’m not sure why anyone would want to run around an outdoor waterpark in Lancashire in January).
Marton Mere is just on the outskirts of Blackpool, so it’s about 10-15 minute drive to the seafront, or an hour’s walk if you are feeling energetic (my children would be asking me to carry them after 20 paces).
Reviews average about 3.5/5 on TripAdvisor or 4.1/5 on Google Reviews.
Price: £979 for a Saver caravan for a week in August 2025 for a family of four. See our guide to Haven caravan grades.
That's the price for a standard 'Haven' holiday which means that you can use the swimming pool and other leisure facilities. Haven also has an accommodation only option called Haven Hideaway which would save you £120 on this week. Read our guide to Haven Hideaway or the official guide from Haven.

2. Ream Hills Holiday Park - quiet park, lakeside location, 15 minutes to beach
If you shudder at the thought of a noisy holiday park full of noisy children, then I’d take a look at Ream Hills Holiday Park. It’s a 15-minute drive to Blackpool Tower and there isn't a swimming pool or other facilities onsite, but it’s in an idyllic location overlooking a lake.
Most importantly, it gets consistently strong reviews (4.4/5 on Google Reviews, 4/5 on TripAdvisor).
There’s also a 1980s helicopter which has been converted into accommodation for four people.
The cheaper accommodation are ‘lodges’ which are a little bit posher than caravans, whilst the more expensive options are log cabins which look like they’ve been imported from a ski resort.
Dogs aren’t allowed in most of the accommodation.
Price: £1395 for a Fylde View lodge for a family of four, for a week in August 2025. It comes with a hot tub and it's got three bedrooms so it works out good value for a group of six.

3. Haven Cala Gran Holiday Park – busy resort, indoor swimming pool, 25 minutes to Blackpool seafront
**Winner: Best Value Holiday Park Near Blackpool**
Haven’s second holiday park in the area is a little further north than Marton Mere. It’s close to Fleetwood but you can drive to Blackpool Tower in around 20-25 minutes.
Cala Gran Holiday Park is marginally smaller than Haven Marton Mere but it’s still got plenty to do and it actually scores a little better with reviewers (4/5 on TripAdvisor, 4.2/5 on Google Reviews).
The indoor pool is relatively small by Haven’s high standards, but it has a wide water slide for older children. There are also outdoors activities including a splash park, mini golf, four-seater kart hire, bungee trampolines, segways, archery, three playgrounds, a climbing wall and a ‘leap of faith’. You pay extra for some things.
If it’s raining, you can rush to the indoor soft play area or get something to eat at Papa Johns or the onsite pub/restaurant (The Mash and Barrel). Dogs are welcome at Cala Gran.
Price: £809 for a week in a Haven Saver caravan for a week in August 2025. This is the cheapest grade of caravan. More expensive caravans are wider and have things like balconies.
If you don’t plan to use the swimming pool or any of the facilities, then you can get this holiday for a bargain £659 (choose the Haven Hideaway option).

4. Ribby Hall Village - posh holiday park with spa and indoor swimming pools, 20 minutes to seafront
I’m not exactly sure I’d call Ribby Hall Village a caravan park, but it makes our list because it’s got some fantastic facilities and it's a large site. It’s not the cheapest holiday park in the Blackpool area, but it gets great reviews and is a bit classier than most.
Onsite there’s an indoor swimming pool, including a family friendly pool with flumes and the like. There are also bars and restaurants, a gym and spa and evening entertainment.
There’s a big range of sports and activities, although you have to pay for most of them. Options include tennis, squash, minigolf, fencing, those funny Segway things that American businessmen use to get around, canoeing, laser tag, pedalos and fishing.
Average reviews for Ribby Hall are about 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor or 9/10 on Hoseasons. It’s a 20-minute drive from the seafront in Blackpool, so not as close as Marton Mere. The accommodation is mostly lodges and small cottages.
Price: £1434 for a family of four for a week in August 2025 in an Iris cottage. They also had six person cottages for about £300 extra, so you could bring grandma as well.

5. Newton Hall Holiday Park, indoor swimming pool, short drive to the beach
Newton Hall Holiday Park is about 3 miles from Blackpool seafront, so you’d ideally have a car (or a willingness to walk a lot).
There’s plenty to do onsite, including an indoor swimming pool, fishing lake, kids clubs, sauna, bowling green, sports pitch and an outdoor play area. There’s also places to eat and drink, including a fish and chip shop and a coffee shop.
You have to stay from a Friday to a Friday, rather than the usual Saturday to Saturday but reviews are very good, averaging 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor or 4.7/5 on Google Reviews.
Price: Unavailable at the time of searching, but it has previously been a good value option.

Price comparison Blackpool's 5 best holiday caravan parks
We compared the price of a week in early August 2025 for a family of four, including two adults and two children at five Blackpool holiday parks. We searched in September 2024 and didn't include optional upgrades. The exception is that we upgraded from a Haven Hideaway holiday to a standard Haven break, as most people want to use the onsite facilities.
