5 Best Great Yarmouth Caravan Holiday Parks 2025
A holiday in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk offers classic seaside shenanigans on the seafront or quieter sand dune exploring if you head a little way up the coast.
The choice of caravan parks in Great Yarmouth is amongst the best we've seen in the UK, with several highly rated holiday parks to choose from. There aren't very many holiday parks in the town itself, so you are likely to need a car.
We've picked five of the best Great Yarmouth caravan parks on offer and did a price comparison of one week in August 2024 to find the cheapest and best value option for families.

1. Hopton Holiday Village (Haven family caravan park, beachside, indoor pool)
**Haven's Offers: Summer 2025 from £215 + Christmas 2024/New Year from £99**
Hopton Holiday Village is a little way along the coast from Great Yarmouth but it gets fantastic reviews and has loads to do onsite.
There's a stretch of sandy beach within walking distance or it's about 20 minutes in the car to the seafront at Great Yarmouth,
Onsite there are swimming pools (one indoor, one outdoor), along with lots of different sports (minigolf, tennis, football, fencing, bowls). There are also places to eat and entertainment for children and grown-ups.
Hopton is also near to Lowestoft, which is another option for a day out.
TripAdvisor reviewers give Hopton a score of 4/5 whilst Google Reviews gives it 4.5/5. That gives us an average of 85% and makes it one of the highest rated Haven holiday parks in the whole of the UK. In our opinion, Haven is one of the better holiday park brands in the UK. They are good at constantly investing in their parks and there is a better level of brand consistency than you get with some rivals.
Price comparison: £809 for a week in a 'Saver' caravan for a family of four in August 2025. This is the cheapest grade of caravan at Haven resorts but you can upgrade if you want more space or things like a balcony or dishwasher. Read our guide to Haven's caravan grading system or check out Haven's official guide to it caravan grades.
This was the price for a Friday to Friday holiday. It would have cost about £130 extra for a Saturday to Saturday holiday. It's worth being flexible to get a cheaper holiday.
We included the price for a standard 'Haven' holiday, which means you have access to the entertainment and facilities. The price was £649 for the 'Haven Hideaway' option. That means you just get accommodation and access to the restaurants, which is a bit limiting if you are visiting with children.

2. Wild Duck Holiday Park (Haven caravan park, woodland location)
**Winner: best value Great Yarmouth holiday park**
Wild Duck Holiday Park isn't right by the sea, but it's another Haven holiday park in the Great Yarmouth area that gets very good reviews.
Unlike Hopton (see number 1) it is based in a woodland area and there are lodges as well as the usual caravans.
Reviewers on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews give it 4.5/5, which gives it an average of 90% and makes it the joint highest rated Haven holiday park in the UK. You might like to see our guide to the top 10 Haven holiday parks for other outstanding resorts.
It'll take you about 20 minutes to drive to the seafront at Great Yarmouth. On site there are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sports including football, archery, minigolf and pool. There's also bike hire, so you can explore the surrounding area and you can do outdoorsy things like bushcraft.
Personally, I like to be within walking distance of a beach on holiday but if that's not a priority for you then Wild Duck is an excellent choice.
Price comparison: £709 for a Wild Duck Saver caravan for a family of four for a week in August 2025. If you don't want to use the facilities you can get the same holiday for £589, by choosing the Haven Hideaway option. That's a very good price for a week in August at a highly rated holiday park!

3. Vauxhall Holiday Park (close to Great Yarmouth, indoor swimming pool, cheap caravan park)
**Vauxhall Offers: Caravan holidays from £99**
Vauxhall Holiday Park is owned by Parkdean Resorts, which has got dozens of parks across the UK (they merged with Park Resorts a few years ago).
Unlike most of the Great Yarmouth holiday parks on this list, Vauxhall Holiday Park is actually in the town itself. You could walk to the seafront if you wanted to in about 30 minutes. It's also right by Great Yarmouth railway station so it's one to consider if you are arriving without a car.
Onsite there is an indoor swimming pool, as well as an outdoor pool, playgrounds and sports. Reviews are at 75% overall, so not quite as good as Wild Duck Holiday Park (see number 2) but still pretty decent. We calculated this by adding together its score of 3.5/5 on TripAdvisor to its 4/5 score on Google Reviews.
The majority of the accommodation at Vauxhall Holiday Park is caravans but they do also have some lodges. They're much more spacious and some of the bigger ones have four bedrooms. However, when we checked prices for a week in August, some of the larger ones were as much as £2700.
Parkdean has invested quite a lot in new accommodation at Vauxhall Holiday Park in the last couple of years. There are several apartments and caravans that were either refurbished or were completely new in 2022.
Price: £809 for a week in an 'Owl' caravan for four people in August 2025. This particular model doesn't allow pets but there was a pet friendly model of caravan available for about £40 extra.

4. Caister on Sea Holiday Park (beachside location, loads to do, indoor swimming pool)
Haven's Caister on Sea Holiday Park makes the list thanks to its beachside location and facilities.
It's quite similar to Wild Duck Holiday Park (see number 2) and Hopton Holiday Village (see number 1) in terms of facilities. On reviews, Caister on Sea scores 85%, which is on a par with Hopton but slightly behind Wild Duck's score of 90%.
The park has got a large indoor swimming pool that is used for lots of noisy activities such as pool kayaking and those big balls you climb inside on water. They also have lots of sports including a football academy, climbing wall, archery, fencing, crazy golf and bike hire.
You do have to pay extra for lots of the activities but things like swimming and evening entertainment are all included.
It's a 15 minute drive to Great Yarmouth seafront or you can head up to Cromer in about 45 minutes. It's also one of the cheaper holiday parks in the Great Yarmouth area that we've managed to find. Pets are welcome at Caister on Sea Holiday Park.
Price: £805 for a family of four staying in a Saver caravan for one week in August 2025. As with the other Haven Holiday Parks in the Great Yarmouth area, it was much cheaper to arrive on a Friday. A Saturday arrival would cost about £120 extra.
The 'Haven Hideaway' option that doesn't include access to the swimming pool was £615 for the same week.

5. Cherry Tree Holiday Park (Parkdean Resorts holiday park, indoor and outdoor swimming pool)
Cherry Tree is one is one of three holiday parks operated by Parkdean Resorts in the Great Yarmouth area (and previously by Park Resorts).
The others are Breydon Water and Vauxhall Holiday Park (see #3 in this guide).
There are also two other Parkdean Resorts that are a 15 minute drive up the coast called California Cliffs and Summerfields Holiday Park (no, California Cliffs isn't quite as warm as the US equivalent).
In other words, Parkdean Resorts has a whopping five holiday parks to choose from within a small area.
We reckon Cherry Tree Holiday Park is worthy of a top five mention in this guide - and customers agree. Overall, they rate it as the best of the five in this part of Norfolk. There's not a lot in it, but here's how they rank, based on Google Reviews and TripAdvisor:
So, why is Cherry Tree edging it over the rest? It's not really down to location, as it's a 10 minute drive to the seafront at Great Yarmouth - whereas California Cliffs and Summerfields Holiday Park are both within walking distance of a beach.
However, Cherry Tree does have other things going for it. You'll be able to use the site's indoor and outdoor swimming pools, play a round of mini golf and clamber across the adventure playground (well, your kids can). You can even bring your dog, although only in some of the accommodation. Cherry Tree also has some accommodation with hot tubs, which is only an option at some Parkdean Resorts.
Price comparison: £839 for a 'Thurne' caravan, for a week in August 2025 for a family of four. This model is actually a six berth, so you could bring granny or a couple of aunties if you wanted.

Price comparison of Great Yarmouth's five best holiday caravan parks
Our price comparison just looked for the cheapest caravan available for a family of four in August 2025. We assumed that the family wasn't bringing a pet and didn't buy any optional extras. The range of prices was actually much smaller than most seaside locations. We searched in September 2024.
