**Add one day of magic to your Paris stay: Buy your ticket now for Disneyland Paris**
Brittany/Bretagne is one of the most popular parts of France for UK holidaymakers. It allows you to travel abroad without spending three days at airports or enduring endless car journeys with grumpy children (and spouses).
You can get a ferry from Portsmouth in about 9 hours or from Plymouth in 6 hours, followed by a shortish drive depending on which Brittany holiday park you choose. If the thought of a long ferry crossing has you reaching for a packet of Kwells then you might prefer the 40-minute Eurotunnel/LeShuttle at Folkestone. That's the one that allows you to take your car onboard a giant train. Your journey is then followed by a longer drive from Calais (about 5 to 7 hours).
Alternatively, you could fly to Brest (heehee) if you want to rely on public transport or want to hire a car.
Travel costs vary massively depending on time of year, time of day and size of vehicle. However, when we searched for August holidays, we found that the Eurotunnel was £175 - £450 return to take the car whilst a ferry from Portsmouth to Caen was about £350 to £650 for a car and four people (don't hold us to those prices, they are just a rough guide).
We've picked five of the best Brittany caravan holiday parks by looking at facilities, reviews, value for money and location. We also did a price comparison for the cost of a week's holiday in early August 2026 for a family of two adults and two children:

1. Domaine des Ormes Campsite, Ille et Vilaine (very large park, dome aquatic centre)
Domaine des Ormes Campsite got our attention thanks to its rather grand 'dome aquatic complex' which opened in 2019. It contains an indoor pool, wave pool and splash park which added to the already busy park.
In case you're wondering, the word 'campsite' is often used in France to describe holiday parks, so you won't be spending a week in a tent unless you particularly want to. There are plenty of static homes for hire which are similar to those you get at a UK caravan park.
The whole site is 400 acres, which makes it a similar size to one of the UK's Center Parcs. It's not by the beach, but it is alongside a lake where you can attempt to steer a pedalo. It's got an 18-hole golf course onsite, as well as pony rides, mini golf, fishing, tennis, volleyball, kids' clubs, archery and basketball. And they've even got boules, like every other French holiday park...
If you don't want to cook, there's a good choice of places to eat including a restaurant attached to the golf course, two bars, a pizzeria and creperie.
Customer reviews average 4/5 on TripAdvisor and 4.2/5 on Google Reviews, which works out as 82% overall. It's a 40 minute drive from the ferry port at St Malo. The spectacular island of Mont St Michael is a 40 minute drive and is worth the journey if you want to explore.
Price: £1550 for a holiday in a 'Comfort' static home in early August 2026 for a family of four.

2. Le Ranolien Campsite, Côtes d'Armor (coastal, six swimming pools, positive reviews)
If you want a big and busy holiday park in Brittany, then take a look at Le Ranolien in the Côtes d'Armor region. It's got six swimming pools, some of which are indoors and some of which are outdoors. It's near to a rocky bit of coastline, so you're more likely to swim onsite than in the sea.
Other onsite attractions include crazy golf, table tennis, playgrounds, discos, badminton, a creperie and a pizzeria.
From the UK, you can get a ferry from Plymouth, which takes six hours and then drive for about 1 hours 20 minutes in the car.
Average reviews are 4.4/5 on TripAdvisor and 4.5/5 on Google Reviews - or a dazzling 89% on average. You'll also see it called 'Yelloh! Village Le Ranolien'.
Price: £1210 for a family holiday for a week in August 2025 in a two bedroom 'cottage'.

3. La Plage Campsite, Morbihan (coastal, two swimming pools, kids' club)
La Plage Campsite isn't huge, but it offers a lot, and you can walk to the beach easily. It scores 4.5/5 on Google Reviews and 4.7/5 on TripAdvisor, so it's certainly worth a look. That works out as 92%.
There are two outdoor swimming pools, waterslides, tennis courts, crazy golf, boules and a playground. During peak season there is a kids' club. There's a restaurant which is just off site with views over the sea.
It's in a part of Brittany called Morbihan which you can reach in about 2 hours 30 minutes from St Malo. It's a 9-hour ferry from Portsmouth so some people choose to fly instead (90 minutes from London to Rennes and then two hours in the car).
There are a few things to see if you want some days out, including a the lighthouse at Eckmühl. You can climb up it for a decent view.
Price: £1140 for a week in August 2026 in a 'classic' mobile home for a family of four.

4. Village Les Mouettes, Côtes d'Armor (near the ferry, swimming pools)
Village Les Mouettes will appeal if you don't want to spend long in the car, as it's only a 20-minute drive from the ferry port. You can get from Plymouth to Roscoff in 6 to 8 hours
The choice of outdoor swimming pools at the park is impressive with flumes and slides and an indoor pool for young children. Grown-ups can use the jacuzzi and sauna.
The holiday park's activities include pony rides, crazy golf, a couple of playgrounds, two bars and a restaurant, volleyball, table tennis and boules (obligatory at a French holiday park). The beach is about a mile away.
Customer reviews average 4.5/5 (Trip Advisor) and 4.6/5 (Google Reviews), which we'll call 91% for easier comparison.
Price: £1612 for a week long family holiday in August 2026. Includes a two-bedroom static home for a family of four.

5. La Baie Campsite, Morbihan (small park, outdoor swimming pools)
**Winner: best value Brittany holiday park**
If beaches are more important to you than onsite facilities, then I'd consider La Baie Campsite which has two beaches nearby. It's in the Morbihan part of Brittany and scores 4.4/5 on TripAdvisor or 4.3/5 on Google Reviews (87% overall).
It's not as large as some Brittany holiday parks but there are two outdoor swimming pools and sports including badminton, basketball and (you guessed it...) boules. There are playgrounds for children and bike hire for getting around the local area.
If you want to bring the car, you can get a ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo in 9 hours and then it's a 2 hours 30 minute drive to the park. If that sounds unbearable with children, then you could fly in 90 minutes from London to Rennes and then drive for two hours.
You may also want to drive 35 minutes to the Quiberon peninsula, which is particularly good for surfing.
Price: £856 for a week for a family of four in a two bedroom 'Classic' static home in August 2026.

Price comparison of Brittany's 5 best caravan holiday parks
We did a rough price comparison by looking for the cost of a week's holiday in Brittany (otherwise known as Bretagne) for a week in early August 2026 for a family of four. We looked for the cheapest accommodation available, excluding glamping or camping options. We didn't include any extras or upgrades and we carried out our searches in September 2025. It's also worth looking for prices throughout the whole of August as the end of the month is usually cheaper. From cheapest to most expensive:
