We've found that Northumberland and County Durham caravan holiday parks are very competitively priced. As a general rule, you can expect to pay much less than you would for similar accommodation in the Westcountry.

  • 1 hour drive to Newcastle
  • Big and busy holiday park run by Haven, which has a positive reputation and about 40 holiday parks around the UK.
  • Indoor swimming pool and spa facilities
  • Pretty lakeside setting, as well as a castle within the grounds with terrific views across the park
  • Had a big revamp in 2019 with a new 'garden atrium' with restaurants and activities
  • Facilities including minigolf, rope climbing course and playgrounds 
  • Onsite restaurants including Burger King and Papa Johns
  • Close to Alnwick Castle, which featured in the Harry Potter films
  • Reviews of 4.1/5 on Google Reviews or 3.5/5 on TripAdvisor, giving an average of 76%. That's relatively low for Haven, but isn't bad compared to a lot of UK holiday parks.
  • Dog friendly accommodation available and there are plenty of grades to choose from depending on your budget. More expensive caravans are wider and have fancier facilities, such as ensuite toilets.
