5 Best Landal Greenparks Holiday Park in Germany 2026
There are 11 Landal Greenparks in Germany offering good quality family holidays with plenty of activities, such as indoor swimming pools, playgrounds, golf and other sports. Most also have restaurants, scenic locations and tend to be a bit classier than your usual caravan park or campsite (think of them as an alternative to Center Parcs rather than Heidi Hi).
But which is the best Landal holiday park in Germany?
We’ve picked out our top 5 by looking at customer reviews, onsite facilities, value for money and location. We also did a price comparison by looking for the price of the cheapest accommodation available for a family of four, staying for a week in August 2026.

1. Landal Sonnenberg, Mosel (large holiday park, swimming pool, kids clubs, playgrounds)
There are two Landal Greenparks around the Mosel Valley in Germany, but we think Landal Sonnenberg deserves a place in our top 5. Landal Mont Royal is the other park nearby, but it doesn’t have as big a range of activities.
Customer reviews on TripAdvisor for Landal Sonnenberg average 4/5 and it scores 4.4/5 on Google Reviews (or 84% overall).
The holiday park is one of Landal’s biggest in Germany, with a choice of three different types of accommodation including mobile homes, two person apartments and bungalows. Bungalows are usually the most expensive option but can work out cheaper if you are travelling as a large family.

Activities and prices at Landal Sonnenberg
It’s one of only two Landal parks in Germany to offer kids' clubs all year round (Hochwald was the other when we checked) so it’s a good one to consider if you are visiting outside of peak season.
There’s an impressive list of onsite facilities including: an indoor swimming pool and paddling pool for younger children, bowling alley, minigolf, climbing wall, indoor play area, treetop climbing area and zip wire.
In our price comparison for August 2026, Landal Sonnenberg is one of the higher-priced options but other years it has been mid-priced.
Landal Sonnenberg is also one of the few Landal holiday parks in Germany which offers camping alongside its own accommodation.
Price: £1573 for a week in a mobile home in August 2026 (this was the cheapest option for four people when we checked). We included the obligatory 'tourist tax' and bedding in our prices.

2. Landal Winterberg, Sauerland (swimming pool, watersports, good for large groups)
Winner: Best Value Landal Holiday Park in Germany
Landal Winterberg deserves a place in our top 5 thanks to decent customer reviews and an interesting mix of facilities in the local area including a summer toboggan run.
As you may have guessed, it’s a popular winter ski resort but it has plenty to do in summer too.
As well as the usual sports (football, table tennis) you can also try out water skiing, wakeboarding, pitch and putt, mountain biking or those giant inflatable balls that you climb inside (obviously you’ll pay extra for some activities). The indoor swimming pool has rapids, as well as a paddling pool for toddlers.
The park itself scores 3.8/5 on TripAdvisor (much like all the other Landal parks in Germany) but it was slightly ahead on Google reviews (4.3/5). That gives it an average of 81%.
In our price comparison, Landal Winterberg was one of the mid-priced options with a range of chalets.
Unusually, it has accommodation which sleeps up to 12 people so it’s a good one to choose if you are travelling with grandparents, aunts, uncles and other hangers on.
Price: £1374 for a family of four staying for a week in August 2026. That price was for a four-person chalet with one bathroom.

3. Landal Wirfttal, Eifel (lakeside, swimming pool, lots of facilities, bungalows and safari tents)
There are a couple of Landal parks to choose from within Germany’s Eifel mountain range but we’ve picked Landal Wirfftal because it offers good value for money.
It averages 78% in customer reviews.
Landal Wirfftal is in a lakeside location, so you can take a pedalo out or go sailing (you aren’t allowed to swim in the lake, although that wouldn't bother me). Unusually for Landal, they’ve got safari tents for glamping as well as the usual bungalows and woodland lodges.
Onsite facilities include an indoor swimming pool and lake, bouncing pillow, football, fishing, bike hire, minigolf, kids' clubs, table tennis and basketball. There’s also a restaurant and shop onsite.
It’s located amongst mountains so it’s popular with walkers and cyclists.
Price: £1092 for a family of four staying in a six-person bungalow for a week in August 2026.

4. Landal Salztal Paradies, Harz (big range of facilities, mostly apartments)
Landal Salztal Paradies is in the mountainous Harz region of Germany. It isn’t the largest Landal site, but it has a lot going for it and reviews are positive.
There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, whereas most Landal parks in Germany just have an indoor pool. The indoor swimming pool is more interesting than most, as it’s got a big flume, rapids and wave pool. There are spa treatments nearby, though you’ll pay extra for those.
Other onsite facilities include a bowling alley, a bouncing pillow, minigolf, an ice-skating rink and a nature trail. There’s a restaurant and shop too.
It scores 83% overall on customer reviews, once we add together its scores on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews. That puts it in the same ballpark as others in this list.
The slight downside (in my opinion) is that the accommodation is nearly all apartments with only a few bungalows. That’s not a big problem, but with my noisy family I prefer to be separate from other holidaymakers...
Price: £1894 for a family of four staying in an apartment for a week in August 2026.

5. Landal Hochwald, Saar/Hunsrück (swimming pool, fishing, bowling)
There are a couple of Landal parks in the Saar/Hunsrück region but I'd go for Landal Hochwald.
Its main advantage over nearby Landal Warsberg is that it offers kids' activities all year round. It also just about edges it on customer reviews with a score of 83% compared to Landal Warsburg's 80%.
The indoor swimming pool at Landal Warsburg is simple, but other activities include bike hire, bowling, boules, minigolf, archery and fishing.
The majority of accommodation at Landal Hochwald is bungalows, although there are a small number of mobiles homes too, which tend to be cheaper.
Hochwald is a good option for a large gathering as some of the properties can accommodate 12 people.
Price: £1458 for a four-person property for a week in August 2026. The cheapest accommodation we found was a rather cool triangular house with three bedrooms.
