About Holiday Park Guru
Holiday Park Guru was created by a former BBC journalist and holiday park enthusiast. It is the sister site to Isle of Wight Guru.
We've visited and stayed at dozens of holiday parks around the UK (100+ is my best estimate) to see how they compare on accommodation, facilities and sea views as well as how spacious they feel and how modern and clean they are.
Our site covers all the big holiday parks in resorts such as Devon, Cornwall and Dorset as well as many of the smaller independent caravan sites with simpler facilities.
As well as offering our personal experiences, we also analyse the data and crunch the numbers to see how the UK's holiday parks compare on customer review scores, travel time from UK cities, walking times to local beaches and the sort of weather you can expect on your holiday.
Over the years, Holiday Park Guru has been given mentions by many of the UK's biggest broadcasters and publishers including the BBC, The Sun, the Daily Mail, The Mirror, The Guardian and the Daily Express as well as dozens of local newspapers. One national newspaper has also pinched our work and used it without credit, but we aren't bitter about that and don't mind at all that they've ignored our emails.
