10 Best Norfolk Caravan Holiday Parks 2026
Norfolk has more than 20 holiday parks to choose from, or more if you include posher lodges and retreats. We've visited most of them ourselves and have picked 10 of the best. Our pick of caravan holiday parks compares onsite facilities, reviews from visitors, location and value for money as well as our own experiences.
Most of Norfolk's holiday parks are based around the busier resorts of Hunstanton and Great Yarmouth but there are some in quieter spots along the coastline such as Sheringham and Cromer and a few inland sites that are good bases for exploring the Norfolk Broads.
For our price comparison, we looked for the cheapest caravan for a week in early August.
So, drumroll please for our top 10 caravan holiday parks in Norfolk for holidays in 2026....

Norfolk Holiday Parks: Our Top Picks for 2026
1. Hopton Holiday Village Great Yarmouth (Busy Haven park, indoor pool, beachside)
**Haven's Offers: Last minute bargains from £49 + Summer 2026 from £159**
Haven has got four decent holiday parks in Norfolk but we think the best ones are Hopton Holiday Village and Wild Duck Holiday Park (see #2).
Hopton scores 4.1/5 on TripAdvisor or 4.5/5 on Google Reviews (or 86% overall). That is impressive when you consider that big chain holiday parks often get less positive reviews. We rate Haven highly, as they keep spending money on their 40 parks rather than waiting for them to fall to pieces!
Hopton is jam packed with facilities and it’s right by a sandy stretch of beach so you won’t be getting in the car every day to see anything. When we visited Hopton, we loved the proximity to the beach and the accommodation on the cliff edge. It's one of the best Haven resorts to choose if your priority is a sea view.

Activities, prices and our visit to Hopton
There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools (I know which I prefer…), a decent minigolf/adventure course, tennis courts, fencing and football and a bowling green for old people with white suits.
Most things are free, but you’ll pay a few pounds for some activities. Hopton also has kids' entertainment, evening entertainment for grown ups (if that’s your sort of thing) and a shop where you can buy some brightly coloured furry things for your children.
In 2019, they opened a new 'entertainment arena' at Hopton, with two restaurants, soft play and amusements.
Location wise, Hopton is halfway between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft so there are a fair few family attractions within a short drive if you fancy exploring a bit.
Price comparison: £825 for a family of four staying for a week in a 'Saver' caravan in August 2026. That was arriving on a Friday, you'll pay about £130 more to arrive on a Saturday. That's the cheapest grade of caravan (see our guide to Haven caravan grades).
Haven gives the choice of a standard 'Haven' holiday or a cheaper Haven Hideaway holiday. A standard Haven holiday means that you can use the facilities such as the swimming pool whilst Haven Hideaway just offers accommodation and access to the restaurants. Our price comparison includes a standard holiday as that's what most people go for. However, if you just wanted accommodation then it was about £160 cheaper for the week. For a family of four that works out as £5.70 per person, per day to use the facilities. Read our nerdy analysis of Haven Hideaway.

Our visit to Haven Hopton
"Hopton is quite a leafy park with lots of trees throughout the site. I always say that this gives a holiday park a really lovely relaxing vibe and stops it from feeling like rows and rows of caravans. I would say that it beats nearby Haven Seashore in this regard, which does not have a huge number of trees around the site."

2. Wild Duck Holiday Park near Great Yarmouth (woodland Haven park, great reviews)
**Winner: best value holiday park**
Bizarrely-named Wild Duck Holiday Park is another highly-rated Haven holiday park in Norfolk that we've visited.
In fact, it is currently the second highest-rated Haven holiday park in the UK with a score of 88%. It is only beaten by Haven Lydstep Beach in Wales.
Wild Duck is a different sort of park to Hopton as it is set within a woodland rather than by the sea. When we visited, we thought it had a really nice atmosphere that was different to all the other Haven resorts we've been to.
On the downside, it isn’t right by the sea so you’ll have a short drive for sandcastle building (it's about four miles away from Gorleston, near Great Yarmouth). However, the park is attractive and there is quite a bit to do onsite. There's not quite as much as Hopton, but still lots more than most parks. The Norfolk Broads spread out throughout much of East Norfolk, so you are well placed for those.

Activities, prices and our visit to Wild Duck
Wild Duck Holiday Park has got the all-important indoor swimming pool, as well as an outdoor pool, amusement arcade, pool tables, bike hire, football, archery and minigolf. Some kids' activities are included, whilst you have to pay extra for some of the nature skills (bushcraft etc). There’s also the usual evening entertainment that you’ll find at most Haven parks.
There is plenty of dog friendly accommodation at Wild Duck Holiday Park.
Price comparison: £729 for a family of four staying in a 'Saver' Wild Duck caravan for a family of four for a week in August 2026. That price was based on arriving on a Friday, it would have cost about £120 more to arrive on a Saturday. They used to have yurts and safari tent glamping at Wild Duck but these aren't currently available.
Saver caravans are the cheapest option at Haven. You can upgrade to bronze, silver, gold and signature, which give extras such as wider caravans, balconies, dishwashers and towels. We've written a blog with a detailed comparison or you can see the official accommodation comparison from Haven.

Our visit to Haven Wild Duck
"The vibe we picked up when we visited Wild Duck holiday park was much more that of a woodland holiday - perhaps something closer to a country park vibe or a mini-Center Parcs, rather than the usual Haven seaside feel."

3. Heacham Beach Hunstanton (very cheap holiday park for families, good reviews)
**Heachem Beach offers: Caravan holidays from £99**
Parkdean Resort's Heacham Beach Holiday Park makes our list as a well-equipped caravan park that offers low-cost family holidays. It was previously one of Norfolk's Park Resorts holiday parks.
In my view, it just has the edge over Manor Park, which is a similar park in the local area that is also owned by Parkdean Resorts (and previously by Park Resorts). They get similar reviews, but Heacham Beach has an indoor swimming pool whereas Manor Park has an outdoor pool. Although holiday park pools can be busy, they are a welcome refuge on a rainy day when the children are doing somersaults on the caravan sofa.
Heacham Beach is also marginally closer to the North Norfolk coastline, although there’s not much in it.
The location is good for anyone travelling from the East Midlands, as it’s a lot quicker to reach than Norfolk’s east coast (Great Yarmouth area).
On review scores, it achieves 80% overall - which is a little bit behind Haven's Hopton and Wild Duck holiday parks. However, that's still a pretty decent score in my book.
Price comparison: £869 for a week in August 2026 in a Grebe Caravan for two adults and two children. For £140 extra they had caravans that are big enough for eight people, which works out as a cheap price per head. You just need to be able to live in close proximity to seven other people!

4. Caister on Sea Holiday Park (beachside, swimming pool)
Caister on Sea Holiday Park is the third Haven holiday park in Norfolk to make our top 10. We loved it when we visited in 2025.
Reviews are at 85%, which is marginally behind Wild Duck Holiday Park and Hopton Holiday Village - but probably not enough to make your mind up! When review scores are this close, I would take look at the price and what you look for in a holiday park.
Caister on Sea Holiday Park is in a beachside location, and is about 15 minutes in the car to Great Yarmouth. Cromer is a 45-minute drive, assuming you aren't stuck behind a tractor (which you will be). The proximity to the beach was our favourite thing about it when we visited.
Onsite, you'll find a large indoor swimming pool with activities like pool kayaking. Other options to occupy excitable children include bike hire, crazy golf, a climbing wall and a football academy. Bear in mind that lots of activities cost a bit extra. Swimming and evening entertainments are included in the price you pay upfront.
Dogs are welcome at all four of Haven's resorts in Norfolk but Caister on Sea is a particularly good choice for pets. It has a 'Bark Park', which is an obstacle course for dogs. You can also take your dog into the Mash and Barrel restaurant onsite.
Price: £875 for a family of four staying in early August 2026 in a Saver caravan. That was arriving on a Friday - it would have cost £140 more to arrive on a Saturday.

Our visit to Haven Caister on Sea
"We were lucky enough to visit Haven Caister on Sea Holiday Park in late August this year. That doesn't always guarantee good weather, but as it happened Norfolk was baked in beautiful sunshine. The park still had a school holiday buzz to it with loads going on and lots of people just enjoying wandering around during the day."

5. California Cliffs near Caister on Sea (busy Parkdean Resorts holiday park)
Besides Heacham Beach (see#3), there are a further six Parkdean Resorts in Norfolk. You might even conclude that Norfolk is one huge holiday park, considering quite how much choice there is. Some of them were previously Park Resorts holiday parks before the two companies merged a few years ago.
California Cliffs is the one to go for if you want to be driving distance from Great Yarmouth but don't want to be in the town itself. The drive is only 15 minutes but you get a bit more of remote location than some of the other Parkdean Resorts.
As the name suggests, California Cliffs is nearer to a beach, which is always the clincher for me. When we visited California Cliffs, we were bowled over by the sea view from the top of the cliff. It isn't on the park itself, but we found that it was only a short walk and didn't take us very long.
California Cliffs has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an adventure playground, sports court, crazy golf as well as the usual shop, bar and launderette. Like most big holiday parks, they also put on entertainment for kids and adults, including outdoor cinema on certain days.
They accept pets in some of the accommodation. Reviewers give California Cliffs a score of 84%, which we calculated out from its ratings of 4.2/5 on Google Reviews and TripAdvisor.
It's also a good choice because when friends ask where you are going on holiday you can say 'California' loudly and then mumble the rest of it.
Price comparison: £889 for an 'Alderney' caravan for a family of four, for a week in August 2026. This model has two bedrooms but you could add another bedroom for £60.

Our visit to Parkdean Resorts California Cliffs
"I must admit part of the reason that I wanted to visit California Cliffs Holiday Park was because of the spectacular sounding name. My visit coincided with warm August weather, and I was successfully convincing myself that I was in the sunshine state until it clouded over 10 minutes later."

6. Seashore Holiday Park Great Yarmouth (large swimming pool, beachside location)
Haven's Seashore Holiday Park muscled its way into our top 10 thanks to a £6.5m revamp of its swimming pool. The new pool opened in 2019 and is called The Shore Waterpark. As you'd expect, it's a step up from the cold rectangle of water that you get at some lesser holiday parks. It's got slides and flumes for older children and a Splash Zone for younger ones.
The swimming pool isn't the only thing that we liked about Seashore when we visited.
The park is right by a mostly sandy beach on the edge of Great Yarmouth. It's about a mile from the main seafront attractions of Great Yarmouth and takes about half an hour to walk to the Pier. The resort is long and thin so none of the caravans are a big walk from the beach (this isn't the case at some so-called 'beachside' caravan parks).
When we visited, we were impressed with the range of things to do at Seashore Holiday Park. We had the choice of archery, crazy golf, a climbing wall and something called the Leap of Faith which involves being tied onto a rope and jumping off a platform. Some activities cost extra, of course. There is also soft play for younger children, a sports court and a Mario Kart virtual reality experience (that's the clincher for my children!).
In the evening, there's entertainment. There are places to eat onsite, including a Burger King, a Papa Johns and their own restaurant/bar called Coast House.

Review scores, prices and our visit to Seashore
Customers give Seashore Holiday Park a score of 4.1/5 on TripAdvisor and 4.4/5 on Google Reviews. That puts it on 85%, which is on a par with Haven Caister on Sea Holiday Park but a whisker behind Haven Hopton and Haven Wild Duck.
Seashore is a dog friendly park and they've also got adapted caravans that are designed to be accessible.
Price: £1109 for a week for a family of four in August 2026, staying in a 'Saver' caravan. If you just want accommodation without the facilities, then it was about £200 cheaper for the week. Most people go for the standard Haven holiday option, as you tend to spend more money occupying the children offsite! This is particularly true with Seashore thanks to the decent swimming pool.
You'll have noticed that Seashore is about £200-£300 more expensive than the other three Haven holiday parks in Norfolk. However, we only compared one set of dates. You will find the differences are much smaller outside of peak times.

Our visit to Haven Seashore
"The location of Seashore is a good one with a large number of the caravans having a sea view. Well, more accurately, they have a great view of the sand dunes with the sea a long way in the distance. This is very typical of a Norfolk beach, so I'm not going to hold it against Seashore."

7. Searles Leisure Resort Hunstanton (big park, loads of facilities, near the beach)
Searles Leisure Resort is a large and well-established Hunstanton holiday park that has been going for decades.
It competes well with big chains like Haven and Parkdean Resorts (and formerly Park Resorts) thanks to a large range of onsite facilities. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, soft play and adventure playground for kids, crazy golf, tennis, restaurants and those funny pedal cars for getting around the site.
It's also right by the beach, so it gets a thumbs up for location. As it's near Hunstanton, there are several attractions nearby if you want to explore the area, such as the local Sea Life Centre.
Reviews are good, averaging 4/5 on TripAdvisor. If you don't fancy a caravan, they've also got lodges although I couldn't find any with hot tubs.
Dogs are welcome in some of the accommodation, but not all types.
Price: £1309 for a family of four for a week in a Classic Rio caravan in August 2026.

8. Cherry Tree Holiday Park, Great Yarmouth (12 minute drive to beach, indoor and outdoor pools)
What's this? Another Parkdean Resorts holiday park in Norfolk?
Prepare to have your socks blown off, because I'm now going to reveal that Cherry Tree Holiday Park is actually the highest rated amongst the seven Parkdean Resorts in Norfolk. It scores 85%, a whole 1% ahead of Parkdean's California Cliffs.
So, why is it rather buried away in this guide to Norfolk's best caravan parks? And what did we think of Cherry Tree when we visited? And why am I asking so many questions?
Cherry Tree Holiday Park is much further inland than most of the other resorts in Norfolk. You can see what I mean in our interactive map, which shows all of the Parkdean Resorts. You can't walk to the beach in the same way that you can at California Cliffs Holiday Park (#5) or Heacham Beach Holiday Park (#3).
If that doesn't bother you, then it's a great choice. You get indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and some of the posher accommodation has hot tubs. The swimming pools are quite straightforward rather than action-packed fun zones. There is also fishing onsite, a restaurant and playground.
If you want a Parkdean holiday park in Great Yarmouth and you want to be closer to the beach then take a look at Vauxhall Holiday Park. It scores 78% from reviewers.
Price: £725 for a week in August 2026 in a Bronze caravan at Cherry Tree Holiday Park. That price is for two adults and two children. Cherry Tree is one of several Parkdean resorts that use the company's new caravan grading system (read our advice on upgrading here).

Our visit to Parkdean Resorts Cherry Tree
"Cherry Tree - I would say - is mid-sized compared to other Parkdean Resorts and it matches that in the facilities that it has on site. It's not as large as the Action Packed Resorts but it also offers a lot more than some of its sister parks in Great Yarmouth such as Summerfields Holiday Park."

9. Thorpe Forest Lodges Thetford (basic facilities, quirky woodland setting)
Thorpe Forest is a little bit posher (and more expensive) than most holiday parks, but it will appeal to those who enjoy hot tubs and fancy life as a Robin Hood type character – by which I mean living in woodland rather than robbing from the rich…
Thorpe Forest gets very good reviews (4.5/5 on average, 90% overall) and offers things like nature trails, cycling and forest walks instead of flumes and kiss-me-quick hats. It's a good one for parents who feel their children should spend their time getting muddy and identifying deciduous leaves.
It's some way inland (Suffolk/Norfolk border) so you'll need a car if you want to get to the beach. It's run by Forest Holidays, which has several similar sites across the country.
Pets are allowed in some accommodation at Thorpe Forest.
Price: £2030 for seven nights for a family of four in August 2026 in a Silver Birch lodge with a hot tub. Some of their properties sleep eight in four bedrooms, so they are good ones for a larger family.

10. Norfolk Broads Country Park near Norwich (cheap and peaceful)
**Winner: cheapest holiday park**
Norfolk Broads Country Park is an inland holiday park, so it's fine if you've got a car and want to see the county. It's obviously not a good choice if you want a beach holiday and don't have a car. It's only a short distance from Norwich and you can get to Cromer or Great Yarmouth in about 45 minutes.
The emphasis is very much on peace and quiet rather than non-stop family entertainment. There are no facilities to speak of onsite, but it is one of the cheaper options we've found.
Perhaps one to consider if you can't think of anything worse than a bingo hall and a shop selling plastic tat...
Reviews are about 4/5 or 4.5/5 depending on which review site you look at. That gives an average review score of 85%.
Price: £529 for a family of four for a week in August 2026 in a 'Norfolk' caravan, which has two bedrooms and is pet friendly.

Price comparison of Norfolk's 10 best holiday caravan parks
We only did one comparison, but this should give you a rough guide as to which are the cheaper and more expensive caravan holiday parks in Norfolk. We searched in October 2025 for a week long holiday in August 2026 for a family of four. We didn't include any extras or upgrades and obviously the prices may be different when you search at a later date.
