Which Haven Holiday Parks Have Caravans With Sea Views?
A sea view is hugely appealing for us when we are looking for a holiday park. Being able to sit on a balcony with a glass of Pinot Grigio whilst the children are asleep (or refusing to sleep) is a real highlight.
By my count, 19 of Haven's holiday parks offer accommodation with a sea view. That's about half of Haven's resorts.
More specifically, those are the holiday parks with 'Signature' properties - which are those with a good enough sea view that Haven thinks it is worth charging a bit more.
And which Haven resorts have the very best sea views? It's a bit subjective, but my opinion is that the sea views from front row caravans is particularly good at:
These resorts tend to offer a nicely elevated view of a beach, whilst some are a bit low down or overlook an estuary.
Other opinions are welcome!
You will find that some other Haven holiday parks do have a sea view, but it might be a bit more distant or obscured. We didn't include Haven holiday parks with lake views, as I personally don't find that as interesting (and my wife would fret about the children going near the lake).
We've split them up in different regions and tried to include images so you can see what you'll get if you upgrade to a sea view property.

Haven holiday parks in Devon and Cornwall with sea view caravans - Perran Sands, Riviere Sands and Devon Cliffs
The South West of England has an abundance of Haven resorts with sea view accommodation - including three in Devon and Cornwall.
The bad news is that holiday parks in Cornwall and Devon tend to cost a bit more than resorts in the north of England and in Scotland. That rule applies across the board rather than just with Haven.
In Cornwall, Haven can offer you a caravan with a great sea view at Perran Sands and Riviere Sands. They are both decent resorts but Riviere Sands scores slightly higher with reviewers (84% compared to 78% for Perran Sands). We calculated these review scores by averaging data on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews.
Perran Sands is the larger of the two and has slightly better swimming pools and a bigger range of activities. Riviere Sands is usually a little bit cheaper than Perran Sands.
Riviere Sands doesn't allow dogs whilst Perran Sands does, so that may be a deciding factor for you. You can read a more detailed comparison in our guide to Cornwall's 10 best holiday parks.

Meanwhile, Devon Cliffs is one of Haven's biggest holiday parks, with more than 1600 caravans and lodges. Haven calls it their largest park, but we reckon that Haven Cleethorpes Beach is larger based on the amount of accommodation on offer.
Devon Cliffs has got a terrific range of activities and places to eat - and several properties with a sea view. Customer review scores average 84%. You can read our main guide to Devon Cliffs here. Devon Cliffs is generally one of the more expensive Haven resorts, but there are some good deals to be had, particularly outside of peak season.

Haven holiday parks in Dorset and Somerset with sea views - Littlesea, Rockley Park and Doniford Bay
Three of Haven's holiday parks in Dorset and Somerset offer 'Signature' accommodation, which means you get a front row sea view.
With delightful irony, Haven's holiday park in Dorset called Haven Seaview isn't one of the resorts with sea view properties (although you can see the sea in the distance from the park, to be fair). Haven Doniford Bay's view is over the Bristol Channel and there isn't a lot of sea at low tide. Haven Rockley Park overlooks a Channel that leads to the sea whilst Haven Littlesea looks out into the English Channel.
All three parks have their strengths and I wouldn't say any of them are a bad choice. Doniford Bay in Somerset and Littlesea in Dorset score 84% and 83% with reviewers whilst Rockley Park is on 77%.
Haven Rockley Park is larger than Haven Littlesea. In my opinion, Haven Rockley Park is better located as it's near Bournemouth whilst Haven Littlesea is near Weymouth. Apologies to the residents of Weymouth, but I personally prefer Bournemouth. Feel free to disagree.
Doniford Bay overlooks a beach that I would politely call rustic, but it is a good value resort and often works out a lot cheaper than Haven Rockley Park and Haven Littlesea.

Haven's holiday parks with sea views in Yorkshire - Primrose Valley, Reighton Sands and Thornwick Bay
Three of Haven's holiday parks in Yorkshire have sea view properties.
Haven Thornwick Bay is one of the company's newer resorts. It's set back a little bit from the cliffs so you get a distant - but still impressive - view. Thornwick Bay is one of Haven's highest rated parks on customer reviews, with an average of 85% - and it's also been very good value when we've carried out price comparisons over the last few years. All in all, it's a great choice.
Primrose Valley is one of Haven's biggest resorts. It has the advantage of overlooking a great beach and scores 78% overall. The choice of activities is particularly good. You might like to read our full guide to Haven Primrose Valley, if you have a lot of spare time.
Haven Reighton Sands also overlooks a decent beach - and is only a couple of miles up Yorkshire's East Coast from Haven Primrose Valley.

Haven holiday parks with sea views in Wales - Lydstep Beach, Quay West and Hafan y Môr
Three of Haven's six Welsh resorts have caravans with good sea views.
Lydstep Beach regularly ranks as one of Haven's best holiday parks, with an average score of 90% - which is exceptionally good. The beach has some lovely jagged rocks and a nice cove shape that give it one of Haven's best sea views. You are also looking at an actual beach rather than across an estuary or over a road.
However, it's also one of Haven's smallest and quietest holiday parks. It lacks the range of facilities and entertainment that you may be used to at other Haven holiday parks. Lydstep Beach is a great choice if you want good value accommodation in a gorgeous location overlooking a beach, but it will be too quiet for some people.
Meanwhile, Haven Hafan y Môr is one of the largest and busiest Haven caravan sites. It's got one of Haven's biggest and best swimming pools and gets a very positive review score of 84%.
Haven Quay West Holiday Park is somewhere in the middle on scale. It matches Hafan y Môr on review scores and overlooks a terrific beach, but the range of activities is not quite as wide as Hafan y Môr.

Haven caravan parks with sea views in Scotland - Craig Tara and Seton Sands
Craig Tara and Seton Sands are Haven's only Scottish holiday parks - and they both have caravans with sea views.
Seton Sands tends to get the better reviews (78% versus 76% for Craig Tara). However, Craig Tara is larger and is usually cheaper - and the sea views and beach access are better. Haven Craig Tara also has one of the best holiday park swimming pools in the UK
Both of Haven's Scottish caravan parks are dog friendly.
The photo below of Seton Sands is actually a lake view but I can tell you that there is a road that goes between the seafront caravans and the beach, so it's quite as idyllic as Craig Tara's seafront views.
Neither beaches are a sandy paradise, but they give an interesting view. Craig Tara looks towards the Isle of Arran. Seton Sands is to the east of Edinburgh and looks out into the Firth of Forth.

Haven's holiday parks with sea views in Norfolk - Seashore and Hopton
We've been jabbering on for ages about Haven in Norfolk (read the full comparison). There are four resorts in the county - and they are four of Haven's best holiday parks.
The two that offer 'Signature' caravans (i.e. those with front row sea views) are Haven Seashore and Haven Hopton.
Haven Seashore is usually the most expensive of the four Norfolk Haven holiday parks, but it also has the best swimming pool. Haven Hopton gets very similar reviews (both are around 85%) but is usually a bit cheaper.
Seashore looks out on the beach near Caister on Sea, which is wide open and slightly wild, like most Norfolk beaches. The beach at Hopton has a steeper slope down, which gives it a little bit more shelter.
Sea views are subjective, but I personally think that Haven Hopton has some of the best sea views of all the Haven holiday parks in the UK.

A round up of the rest - Haven holiday parks with sea views in Kent, Lincolnshire and Northumberland
I'm bundling the final three Haven holiday parks with seafront caravans together.
Is there an obvious link between the three? Not really.
Have I run out of steam after tapping away at my keyboard for hours? Perhaps.
Haven Kent Coast is the one to go for if you live in London and want a short journey. You can finish work at 5pm and be in your caravan gazing out to sea by 6pm (well, that's a bit optimistic, but you get the idea). This holiday park was previously called Allhallows but had a rebranding a couple of years ago.
The sea view from Kent Coast is across the Thames Estuary. Honestly, I don't think it's as scenic as the sea view from some Haven holiday parks, but the seafront caravans are certainly well located and have a less restricted view than some sites. Kent Coast is mid-sized by Haven's usual standards and it scores 77% from reviewers.
Meanwhile, Haven Cleethorpes Beach is the biggest Haven in the UK by my reckoning. Haven's website says that Devon Cliffs is larger, but by my count there are about 1800 caravans at Cleethorpes Beach (see the top five biggest Havens). Devon Cliffs has about 1600. I assume that Haven is measuring something different, such as the area of the park or the maximum number of guests it can accommodate. It scores 77% from customers and has lots of activities and a pretty decent swimming pool, including a lazy river and 'space bowl'.
The Lincolnshire coast offers something similar to Norfolk - great big wide beaches and occasional sideways winds that blast sand in your face.
Finally, we have Haven Berwick Holiday Centre in Northumberland, which scores an impressive 85% from customers. The front review caravans are hanging on the edge of the cliff, which is a spectacular site. I'm not sure my wife could cope with the cliff being so close, but it appeals to me! I'm also not sure what the difference between a Holiday Centre and a Holiday Park is...
