Wheelchair Accessible Holiday Parks in France
The first thing to say in this guide to wheelchair accessible accommodation in France is that everyone’s disability is unique.
We can’t 100% guarantee that all of these holiday parks will be perfect for your needs – but we’ll do our best to explain what is available.
Typically, they’ll offer you things like wet rooms, entry ramps, worktops that you can get underneath and sliding doors to make it easier to get around.
Our selection is based on whatever relevant and useful information we can lay our hands on. That includes customer review scores, proximity to a beach or somewhere nice to explore, onsite swimming pools and facilities and value for money. We also like to include a peak-time price comparison.
Hope you find it helpful in your holiday planning!

1. Le Port De Plaisance Holiday Park, Brittany (indoor and outdoor swimming pools, very good reviews)
Le Port de Plaisance is a winner with reviewers, with an outstanding average score of 88% (we add together TripAdvisor and Google Review scores to come up with an average score for this site). It's owned by Eurocamp and is in Brittany, on France's North West coast. That means it is about three hours drive from St Malo - which can be reached by ferry from Portsmouth in about nine hours. You can drive from the Eurotunnel in Calais in seven hours.
It's a mid-sized holiday park with a decent outdoor swimming pool, which has a couple of larger slides for bigger children/embarrassing dads and smaller slides for toddlers. There's also an indoor swimming, which is a definite plus point. The weather will be slightly better than the UK, but don't expect endless heatwaves in Northern France.
There's a restaurant, a bar and the usual French-holiday-park sports including table tennis, boules and table tennis (I'm yet to find a French holiday park without boules...). There are also kids' clubs.
The nearest beach is a five minute drive and there's a supermarket just outside the park.
The wheelchair adapted accommodation we found was a two bedroom holiday home, which is similar to the caravans you get with Haven, Parkdean Resorts or Park Holidays in the UK. It's got a ramp for easier access, worktop counters so that you get a wheelchair underneath, sliding doors and a wet room.
Price: £1152 for a week in a wheelchair adapted Comfort XL holiday home for a family of four people in August 2025. The Comfort grade is one step up from the cheapest grade of holiday home at these Eurocamp parks (see our comparison). The 'XL' tells you that it's slightly larger and more spacious than some.

2. La Pinède Holiday Park, West Coast France (waterpark with slides, very good reviews, drive to beach)
La Pinède Holiday Park is a little further south than Le Port de Plaisance, which gives you slightly warmer weather. It's a similarly long drive of about seven hours from Calais or about 4 1/2 hours if you get a ferry to St Malo from Portsmouth. You might prefer to fly to La Rochelle in 90 minutes and then drive for an hour. Of course, you would need to get hold of a car that can take your wheelchair, depending on your specific disability.
It's slightly bigger than Le Port de Plaisance and I would say it has a slightly more impressive waterpark, with five different waterslides. One modest downside is that it's slightly further inland. You'll need to drive for 13 minutes to get to the beach.
Younger visitors can join in with kids' clubs and there are the usual sports including basketball, football and (you guessed it) boules.
Review scores average 84%, putting it slightly behind Le Port de Plaisance - but still an impressive figure. There's an onsite restaurant if you don't want to cook.
Price: £1454 for a week's holiday for a family of four in August 2025 (not including travel). We couldn't find a price for the wheelchair accessible properties as these had sold out, but this is the price for a similar grade of holiday home, so we think it's about right.

3. La Croix du Vieux Pont Holiday Park, near Paris (near to Disneyland Paris, indoor and outdoor swimming pools)
La Croix du Vieux Pont Holiday Park's big selling point is that it's just over an hour's drive from Disneyland Paris. Some visitors do a couple of days at Disneyland Paris so they get a taste of Disney without being completely surrounded by Mickey Mouse (see our main guide to holiday parks near Disneyland Paris for other good options).
Another big plus point is that it's only 2 1/2 hours from Calais. The Eurotunnel/Le Shuttle from Folkestone takes about 35 minutes, so it's a pretty quick journey if you live in South East England.
Reviews for La Croix du Vieux Pont Holiday Park are the lowest of the five holiday parks featured on this guide - but it's still a v very respectable 79%.
Besides the Disneyland Paris selling point, you also get access to a decent swimming complex including flumes and indoor and outdoor pools. Overall, it's the largest of the five holiday parks in this guide to accessible holiday parks in France.
There are a couple of restaurants and bars, as well as kids' clubs, bike hire, archery, tennis, a gym and other sports.
You can choose from a couple of different wheelchair accessible properties. The main option is a holiday home with ramps and a kitchen that is designed to make cooking a bit more easier if you have a disability.
The main downside is that La Croix du Vieux Pont Holiday Park is nowhere near a beach!
Price: £1520 for a week in August, based on a family of four and not including travel costs. Again, we couldn't find an exact price as the wheelchair accessible accommodation had sold out, but that price is for a property with a similar grade so it should give a pretty accurate guide.

4. Château La Forêt Holiday Park, West Coast France (scenic park with swimming pool and aqua park)
Château La Forêt Holiday Park is quite close to La Pinède Holiday Park on France's west coast. The beach is about 20 minutes drive away whilst Calais is a patience-testing seven hour drive.
It's a small holiday park but it has the added appeal of being in the grounds of a château. You also get access to an indoor swimming pool and some decent outdoor waterslides.
The local lakes include an inflatable obstacle course and there are other things to do nearby such as pony rides, pedalo hire and bike hire.
The accessible accommodation is a 'Comfort XL' grade of holiday home. That is one step up from a 'Classic' holiday home at parks like this and is slightly bigger than average as well.
Visitors to Château La Forêt Holiday Park give it an average score of 82%. That's not quite as good as Le Port De Plaisance Holiday Park but it's not to be sneezed at.
Price: £1089 for a week's holiday in August 2025 for a family of four staying in an adapted Comfort XL holiday home.

5. Arinella Bianca Holiday Park, Corsica (sandy beach, outdoor swimming pool, requires flying)
Hold on tight, I'm about to throw in a curveball.
Arinella Bianca is on the French Island of Corsica, which is between France and Italy.
Of course, you'll need to catch a plane to this one so there's the added complication of not having your own car on hand. There are some direct flights available to Bastia Poretta Airport, which take about 2 hours 15 minutes from the UK. It's then a journey of about 1 hour 15 minutes to the holiday park.
Once you've made it there you are rewarded with warmer weather than the other holiday parks in this list and direct access to a sandy beach. Temperatures in summer are usually in the low twenties but often peak in the high twenties.
Arinella Bianca is only a small park but it has a choice of outdoor swimming pools, a restaurant and bar, kids' clubs, a modest selection of sports and a playground.
Customers love Arinella Bianca and give it an average review score of 88%. That's the joint highest score we found in our search for France's best holiday park with wheelchair accessible accommodation.
Price: £1930 for a 'Premium' holiday home that is adapted for people in wheelchairs. That's quite pricey, particularly as you'll also be paying for flights - but it's a higher grade of accommodation.

Which is the cheapest amongst France's best holiday parks with wheelchair accessible accommodation?
Let's take a look at prices. We searched for a week's holiday in August 2025. We left it quite late to look for prices, so you might find a better price if you book early or wait for a special offer. We didn't include optional extra and we didn't include travel costs or food and drink. Some activities also cost extra.
Here they are, ranked from cheapest to most expensive.

What about disabled friendly accommodation at Center Parcs in France?
Great question!
We've got a separate guide to wheelchair accessible accommodation at Center Parcs in Europe.
The waffle free summary is that you should start with Center Parcs Les Bois Aux Daims.
The booking process for disabled accommodation with Center Parcs is a little confusing. We found that the wheelchair accessible holiday homes only appeared once you selected a three bedroom property in any of the main grades of cottage. You can then pick wheelchair adapted options further on along the booking process.
Look for the acronym PMR, which is commonly used to refer to accessible accommodation for disabled people when holidaying in Europe.
