Center Parcs Nordborg Resort in Denmark – Reviews, Prices and Swimming Pool
Center Parcs is now in Denmark, thanks to the opening of Center Parcs Nordborg Resort in 2025.
But how does it compare to Center Parcs in France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands?
The short answer is that Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is relatively expensive and is further away than several other Center Parcs Resorts in Europe. However, it’s new and shiny and it offers the possibility of also doing a pilgrimage to Legoland in Denmark (the original resort). It also has an 'Aqua Mundo' (i.e. Center Parcs swimming pool) that is on a similar scale to much larger resorts - but has far fewer guests. It’s also near to a beach, which is unusual for Center Parcs.
Here’s our comparison, which looks at price, travel time from the UK, customer reviews, facilities and anything else that seems relevant!

How long will it take me to get to Center Parcs Nordborg Resort in Denmark?
Of course, Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is not the easiest to reach. If you’re after simplicity rather than adventure then you would best to pop in the car and drive to Center Parcs Sherwood Forest or one of the five Center Parcs Europe resorts that are closest to the UK.
Flying is the obvious route to Center Parcs Nordborg Resort from the UK. London to Billund Airport is a 90 minute flight and then it’s a drive of just under two hours to reach Norborg Resort. There is a closer airport called Sonderborg Airport but we couldn't find direct flights from the UK.
The advantage of Billund airport is that it is only a few minutes from Legoland in Denmark, so you could spend a day or two at the theme park as part of your holiday.
Driving is an option, but it’s a big journey.
Your best options for non-flyers are:
Personally, I would drive to Efteling in the Netherlands, which is the third most popular theme park in Europe and stop there for a night or two. It’s about 3 hours 30 minutes from Calais, so will work out as roughly halfway once you add on driving time from the UK. You’ll then have a drive of about seven hours to get to Center Parcs Nordborg Resort.

Your best options for non-flyers are:
- a ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam with DFDS. This takes a whopping 16 hours so you’ll want to do it overnight. It’s then a drive of seven or eight hours. In other words, you’ll be travelling for about 24 hours!
- the Eurotunnel/LeShuttle from Folkestone to Calais takes a much more bearable 35 minutes, but you then need to drive for 10 hours. I wouldn’t attempt this level of driving with my family, even if the tablets were charged up to full.

Does Center Parcs Nordborg Resort get good reviews?
It's a bit early to say.
At the time of writing, there are very few reviews to go on. We'll update this section when we feel there are enough reviews for it to make it meaningful.
A word of caution is needed at this point.
In the UK, all of the Center Parcs resort get very similar review scores of about 85% (that's an average from TripAdvisor and Google Review scores). There's an impressive consistency between the resorts, so you are best to pick the one that it closest to you, or the one that is cheapest if you live between two. Read this Center Parcs UK guide for more details.
In the rest of Europe, it's a different story. Center Parcs Europe is a separate company to Center Parcs UK and there is much less consistency between resorts. Some previously existed under different names and have been rebranded as Center Parcs, whilst others are purpose built. Several have large 'Aqua Mundo' waterparks that are comparable to the Subtropical Paradise pools that you get in the UK. Others have much smaller swimming pools.
Some Center Parcs in Europe get excellent reviews and offer a very similar holiday to Center Parcs UK - for a lower price. Those include:
All of these score 80%+ from reviewers and have a good range of activities.
However, several other Center Parcs in France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands get average review scores of around 65% - 80%.
It's also not the case that the newest Center Parcs always get the best review scores. Center Parcs Park Allgäu in Germany opened in 2018 but only scores 67% with reviewers. Center Parcs Les Villages Nature Paris, which is near to Disneyland Paris, opened in 2017 and currently scores 66%.
We are keen to see how Center Parcs Nordborg Resort rates!

How much will it cost me to stay at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort?
We’ve found that the newest Center Parcs resorts are often more expensive than more established sites.
Is that the case with Center Parcs Nordborg Resort?
Well, not exactly.
We searched for a week in mid August 2025 at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort and the six Center Parcs in France. From cheapest to most expensive:
I would mention though that prices at Center Parcs Europe are more ‘flexible’ than those at Center Parcs in the UK. If you book early you can often get a good deal. The fluctuating exchange rate also makes a difference.
For example, we searched for a week at Center Parcs Erperheide in Belgium in October 2024 and found a week in August 2025 for £1455. By May 2025, the cheapest available accommodation for August 2025 was £1943 - about £500 extra. See our Center Parcs Belgium guide for more details.

Is Center Parcs Nordborg Resort a large Center Parcs resort?
Center Parcs Nordborg Resort certainly isn’t the largest Center Parcs resort in Europe.
There are currently 440 cottages at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort, although that number may increase.
That’s about half as many cottages as the 1000 at Center Parcs Park Allgäu in Germany. However, it’s about double the number at Center Parcs Terhills Resort in Belgium. Both of those resorts are relatively new ones.

And what about facilities and activities at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort in Denmark? Is there enough to keep us entertained?
At the time of writing, the official website shows 32 activities at Nordborg Resort compared to 133 at Center Parcs Park Allgau in Germany (you might like to check if that’s increased since we wrote this guide)
So, Center Parcs Nordborg Resort offers a relatively small number of activities compared to other Center Parcs – but the pool is good and it’s still got enough to keep you entertained.
I would also expect the number of activities to increase as the park gets more established.
The swimming pool (Aqua Mundo) at Nordborg Resort includes:
That’s a pretty decent range and is similar to what you would expect from Center Parcs in the UK.
We’ve also dug out a useful statistic, which is that the swimming pool at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is 7200m2, whilst the pool at Center Parcs Park Allgäu is 6600m2. In other words, Center Parcs Nordborg Resort has a similarly large swimming pool to Center Parcs Park Allgäu – but has half as many lodges.
Hopefully that will mean that the pool is less busy as it will be shared with fewer visitors.
Other activities at Nordborg Resort at the time of writing include:
The most unusual feature at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is its pier. You can wander along, admire the view and eat at a café.

- Two waterslides, plus a double-lane flume where you race each other (the Duo Racer)
- An outdoor swimming pool

- a ‘farm’ area where you can pet animals

Ah, so there’s a beach at this Center Parcs?
Yes!
Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is unusual in that it’s by the sea. Most Center Parcs resorts in Europe (and in the UK) are in woodlands with lakes but aren’t by the beach.
The exceptions are
I should point out that the beach at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is not a sandy paradise where you will be making sandcastles and sitting around on a deckchair. It’s good for a walk and it gives a nice sea view from some lodges, but I wouldn’t really call it a ‘beach holiday’.

What's the accommodation like at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort?
As with most Center Parcs in Europe, you can choose from three levels of Cottage. These are similar to the Woodland Lodges that you get at Center Parcs in the UK.
Your options are a Comfort Cottage (£), Premium Cottage (££) and a VIP Cottage (£££). Upgrading gets you things like beds made on arrival, a fancier coffee machine, a hairdryer, posher interior design, a sauna and towels provided.
The cottages range from 1-4 bedroom and are designed for 2-8 people. Some cottages are wheelchair accessible.
Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is currently lacking in any 'quirky' or unusual accommodation. Some Center Parcs resorts in Europe have options such as:

In conclusion...is Center Parcs Nordborg Resort worth a visit?
Perhaps!
If you've never been to a Center Parcs resort in Europe but fancy giving it go then I probably wouldn't start with Center Parcs Nordborg Resort.
There are four or five sites at Center Parcs in Europe that are much easier to reach and should give you an excellent experience - at a much cheaper price than Center Parcs UK. These include Center Parcs Erperheide and Center Parcs De Vossemeren in Belgium, Center Parcs Park Bostalsee in Germany and Center Parcs Het Meerdal in the Netherlands.
So, why would you visit Center Parcs Nordborg Resort?

So, why would you visit Center Parcs Nordborg Resort?
- It might appeal to you if you've been to Center Parcs in Europe and fancy trying out their newest resort - or fancy seeing Denmark. Everything is new and shiny at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort, and it hasn't been visited by a huge number of British holidaymakers.
- Another good thing about Nordborg Resort is that it has a large swimming pool ('Aqua Mundo') but has half the number of lodges as some Center Parcs resorts. My hunch is that they will add more lodges later at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort, so it will get busier in the next few years.
- Legoland Billund Resort is also a big selling point. It's a couple of hours from Center Parcs but it's the original Legoland and it's very close to the airport that you'll probably use.
- The final plus point is that Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is by the beach, which is quite unusual for Center Parcs. Whenever we go on holiday, I insist that we are near to a beach. However, the beach at Center Parcs Nordborg Resort is 'rustic' - whilst some others are sandier.
