Parkdean Resorts Sunnydale Holiday Park in Lincolnshire: Our review of the small Saltfleet resort19/10/2025  Sunnydale has a very different vibe to most other holiday parks on Lincolnshire's coast You'll notice as you approach Parkdean Resorts Sunnydale Holiday Park that it has quite a different vibe to several of the other holiday parks in Lincolnshire. Here's what we thought of it when we visited. Sunnydale's location in LincolnshireSunnydale is within a properly rural part of Lincolnshire, which sets it apart from Haven Skegness Holiday Park, Haven Golden Sands Holiday Park and Parkdean Resorts Southview Holiday Park. The local villages are very small and you'll have some distance to go before you'll find a large supermarket. If that sounds idyllic to you then Sunnydale may be just the holiday park you're looking for. If you're looking for rollercoasters and minigolf courses on the doorstep, then I would think again.  The rollercoasters of Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells are a 45 minute drive from Sunnydale The coastline and beach near SunnydaleThe most remarkable thing about Sunnydale Holiday Park is the coastline, which can be reached by coming out of the entrance of the holiday park, turning left and walking for about 100 metres. You'll be met with a stunning view of sand dunes that seem to go on for miles before eventually turning into a beach. When we visited, we could hear the sea roaring in the distance across the wild and unspoilt landscape. There are a couple of very well-placed benches where you can quite happily sit and spend a long time admiring the view. Of course, this is not the sort of coastline where you will be turning up with your swimming things unless you fancy a very long walk first! There are also numerous signs warning you that there could be unexploded military debris around the site that should be left alone. We rather concluded that this might make a family trip to the beach even more tense than usual. Having said that, you can drive along the coast to an easier to access beach such as Cleethorpes or Mablethorpe. Personally, I like Anderby Creek, which is a little more rustic and is one of the more naturally beautiful and peaceful beaches in Lincolnshire.  The coastal path is only a few metres from Sunnydale Holiday Park  Somewhere on this photo is the sea!  There are warnings around the sand dunes that there may be explosive materials! The simple facilities at SunnydaleIt won't take you a huge amount of time to get to know the site, as Sunnydale is certainly one of Parkdean Resorts' smaller holiday parks. Again, this may be just what you're after and isn't intended as a criticism. Parkdean also has several parks called Action-Packed Parks, which offer a bigger range of activities and a large site to explore. Sunnydale has an indoor swimming pool but it is quite a small and straightforward one.  The swimming pool at Sunnydale is one of the smaller ones owned by Parkdean Resorts  We didn't take this photo of Sunnydale's pool - it's one of the official ones There is a decent playground that we found to be in good condition when we were at the site, as well as some karts that you can hire.  The playground at Sunnydale is a good size and traditional style  We were tempted to take one of these pedal karts for a spin Eating out at Sunnydale Holiday ParkThere is also somewhere where you can get a drink and something to eat. Honestly though, this is not really the sort of holiday park where you will be spending all week without leaving the site. If that's what you're after then I would go for somewhere like Butlins Skegness or Center Parcs Sherwood Forest.  The restaurant, arcade and 'showbar' are in this building Accommodation at Sunnydale Holiday ParkSunnydale is mostly caravans, which are relatively close together throughout the site. There are also a good number of trees to add a bit of colour and greenery. The central fishing lake is a nice feature and it was well used when we visited Sunnydale.  Most caravans at Sunnydale Holiday Park look like this  Some caravans come with balconies for enjoying the view  The middle of the park has a fishing lake Our conclusion of Sunnydale Holiday ParkFor me Sunnydale is a bit too quiet, as I like to have somewhere that will give us a bit of entertainment and then have some more entertainment on the doorstep. However for other people it will be just right. You can go for a swim, get something to eat in the restaurant and Showbar and then go up to see Donna Nook, which is famous for seals.
