We love a price comparison on this site. Some would say we are hooked on checking prices of holiday parks in the UK. Everyone needs a hobby, eh? We looked at the price of the cheapest holiday available at each Haven in the UK for a week's holiday in late July or early August 2025. We left some flexibility but didn't stretch into late August when prices tend to drop anyway. One very important thing to say it that we included the price for a 'standard Haven' holiday. Haven also give you the option of a Haven Hideaway holiday, where you just get accommodation and access to the restaurants. The majority of people want to use the swimming pool and entertainment and also want the option of paying for extra activities. The price of including this varies with the smaller and less well equipped parks charging less than the bigger and busier resorts. In other words, you will be able to find a cheaper Haven holiday in peak season, but we've gone for the price that most people will end up paying. We also didn't include the cost of bringing a dog. Haven doesn't have a fixed price it charges for dogs. Instead, it insists that you book a dog friendly caravan (fair enough) and charges more for these than for the cheapest accommodation (see our guide to dog friendly Haven holidays for more details). Without further ado, here's the top five cheapest Haven holiday parks for a week in the school summer holidays in 2025. Price are for four people, including two adults and two children. 1. Haven Craig Tara Holiday Park in Scotland - £649 (£23 per person, per night)Haven's cheapest holiday park for a 2025 summer holiday is also one of its biggest. Craig Tara had a previous life as a Butlins but has been fully rebranded and invested in over the years. The highlight is the indoor swimming pool, which is one of Haven's biggest and best. It's more of a waterpark, with various things to slide down or stand under. Swimming is included in the cost of the holiday. You also get access to a beach and loads of pay-as-you-play activities including a climbing wall, minigolf, NERF training and high ropes (and low ropes for younger children). Craig Tara tends to be popular with holidaymakers from Glasgow as it's less than an hour's drive away. We've written a full guide to Craig Tara, as well as a comparison with Seton Sands, which is Haven's other Scottish holiday park. Haven Craig Tara's current average review score is 73%, based on scores on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews. That's towards the lower end of Haven's resorts. 2. Haven Haggerston Castle in Northumberland - £699 (£25 per person, per night)Haggerston Castle is a good option for a cheap Haven holiday park if you live in Northumberland, South East Scotland or Tyne and Wear. Its average review score is currently at 75%, slightly ahead of Craig Tara. It's a smaller holiday park than Craig Tara, but you still get a good range of things to do. Haggerston Castle isn't right by the beach (unlike Craig Tara) but it's only about 10 minutes in the car to the coast. The indoor swimming pool at Haggerston Castle isn't flashy but it's a good size and has a two lane waterslide. Lots of the accommodation is based around one of several lakes at the site. Activities that you pay extra for include boat hire on the lakes, a nine hole golf course, high ropes, NERF training and a bouncy arena (a bit like a fancy bouncy castle). 3. Haven Berwick on Tweed in Northumberland £699 (£25 per person, per night)Shrewd readers will have spotted that the top three Haven holiday parks for a summer holiday are either in Northern England or Scotland. This is a pattern we've seen a lot over the years - resorts up north tend to be much cheaper than those in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. Haven Berwick on Tweed is only 15 minutes drive from Haven Haggerston Castle. Berwick on Tweed is the clear winner on review scores, with an average of 85% - a full 10% ahead of Haggerston Castle. Its big advantage (in my opinion) is that you get sea views from some of the accommodation. I'll admit these are not going to be the cheapest caravans that I've quoted in the price above, but it's still an appealing feature. Having a beach on your doorstep is another big plus point. We enjoy an amble in an evening, which we are much less likely to do if it requires getting in the car. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools are the straightforward sort rather than anything too unusual - but one of them has a waterslide. The range of pay-as-you-go activities at Haven Berwick on Tweed is somewhat shorter than Craig Tara - but there are some optional extras such as segway, archery and NERF training. You may consider a lack of payable activities to be a blessing! 4. Haven Golden Sands in Lincolnshire - £699 (£25 per person, per night)Haven Golden Sands is another cheap option - and it's much further south than the resorts we've featured so far. It's on Lincolnshire's coast, which is popular with people from the East Midlands (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire etc) as well as holidaymakers from Yorkshire. The resort itself is in Mablethorpe, which is a bucket-and-spade sort of place with lots of flashing fruit machines and candy floss. Reviewers give Golden Sands an average score of 80%, putting it somewhere in the middle of the cheap Haven resorts we've featured so far. Golden Sands is a large holiday park with tightly packed rows of caravans and an Adventure Village near to the beach. The beach is a good one if you like wide-open beaches with plenty of space rather than cosy coves. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools both have a waterslide and there are lots of activities (for an extra charge), such as high ropes and a climbing wall. It's also got fishing lakes, which may be the clincher for some spouses... 5. Haven Thornwick Bay in Yorkshire - £709 (£25 per person per night)I would put Haven Thornwick Bay towards the top of your shortlist, if you want a good value and modern Haven resort. It opened in 2016 so it's one of the company's newer resorts (technically, there was a holiday park at the site already but Haven developed it a lot before opening). Thornwick Bay frequently ranks among the most popular Haven resorts with customers. Current review scores put it on an impressive 86%. It's not a vast holiday park, but you get distant sea views from some of the site and the local area is lovely. Haven Thornwick Bay is known for its clifftop walks, which is appealing if your children are old enough to behave sensibly! The indoor swimming pool is decent and there are also water activities based around the lake. 6. Haven Doniford Bay in Somerset (£26 per person, per night)We had planned to make this a 'top five' guide until we realised there was a major northern bias.
We've cranked up this guide to Haven's cheapest holiday parks for a summer holiday to ensure that Southern England is covered (ish). This location is a good one if you're coming from Bristol or other parts of the Westcountry. It's less convenient from East Anglia. Doniford Bay is another of Haven's high-scorers with customers. It currently achieves an average of 86%, which matches Haven Thornwick Bay. As you'll gather from the name, Doniford Bay is by the coast. The beach is the rustic sort that you can admire from a distance but it's not a sandy paradise. The good news is that you get indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The outdoor pool has a decent four lane waterslide. The Adventure Village has various outdoorsy things, including a climbing wall. This is a nice part of the country but I would caution that it's quite remote. Minehead is about 20 minutes away whilst Weston Super Mare is more like an hour's drive.
