Which Is The Best Haven Holiday Park In Norfolk?
I'm going to stick my neck out and say that Norfolk has some of the best Haven holiday parks in the UK. Haven Hopton, Haven Seashore, Haven Caister on Sea and Haven Wild Duck have all got their plus points and get above average review scores.
But which is best? Which Norfolk Haven holiday park has the best swimming pool, the best location and the cheapest prices?
Here's my summary:
But which is best? Which Norfolk Haven holiday park has the best swimming pool, the best location and the cheapest prices?
Here's my summary:
"Haven Wild Duck gets the best reviews in Norfolk and it's usually the cheapest. However, it is the only Norfolk resort that isn't walking distance from the beach. Haven Seashore has easy access to a nice beach and the best swimming pool. However, it's usually the most expensive. If you want a beach holiday at a lower price then I would go for Haven Hopton Holiday Village or Haven Caister on Sea. The main advantage of Hopton is that it has better sea views from some accommodation"

Which Haven in Norfolk gets the best review score?
Let's start with average review scores, which look like this:
(These scores are an average of reviews on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews).
So then, should we all go ahead and book a week at Haven Wild Duck Holiday Park as it gets the best reviews?
Perhaps, but I would suggest you hold your horses until you've read the full guide.
Wild Duck is the only Haven resort in Norfolk that isn't walking distance to the seaside, and it doesn't have as good a swimming pool as Seashore.
I would also say that any holiday park scoring more than 80% is worth considering, so I wouldn't write off Seashore, Caister-on-Sea or Hopton. In other words, you'd be quackers to make a decision about Wild Duck based on review score alone (Ed: groan).
- Haven Wild Duck Holiday Park - 88%
- Haven Hopton Holiday Village - 86%
- Haven Caister-on-Sea Holiday Park - 85%
- Haven Seashore Holiday Park - 85%

What about price? Which Haven in Norfolk is the cheapest?
Prices at Haven vary throughout the year and depend on the accommodation you choose, the size of your party and which way the wind is blowing. This 'flexible pricing' approach is very common and you'll find very few holiday parks nowadays that have fixed prices regardless of when you book. (This is a good moment to mention Haven's Price Promise, which gives you a partial refund if you book early and then find the price has dropped).
However, here are the prices we found when we searched for holidays at Haven's four Norfolk resorts for holidays in 2025.
Prices for a weekend in mid-June 2025:
Prices for a week in mid-August 2025, during school holidays:
Prices for a week in mid-September 2025, outside of school holidays:
So, Wild Duck is the winner on price - based on the dates we checked. Seashore is consistently the most expensive Haven resort in Norfolk whilst Caister-On-Sea and Hopton are somewhere in the middle.
The prices above are for a standard Haven holiday, which means you can splash around in the the swimming pools, watch the entertainment and sign up for the pay-as-you-go activities. You can also opt for a Haven Hideaway holiday, which typically saves you £50 - £200 over a week. However, you only get accommodation and the use of the restaurants with that option. To help make your mind up, have a read our guide to Haven Hideaway here, or read Haven's official comparison.

What about the activities, swimming pools and size of each Haven resort in Norfolk?
Well, it's lovely to hear your enthusiasm for my waffle.
The four Haven resorts in Norfolk vary in size and facilities. Here's a summary of each:
The four Haven resorts in Norfolk vary in size and facilities. Here's a summary of each:
Haven Wild Duck facilities, activities and swimming
Haven Wild Duck Holiday Park is a 10 minute drive to the beach. That's not a disaster, but it does mean you can't easily have quick walks to the beach without piling everyone into the car. On the plus side, it's more leafy and spread out than Caister and Seashore, with a good amount of space between most caravans. The site is within woodland, so it has something approaching a Center Parcs vibe.
The indoor swimming pool at Wild Duck has a three lane waterslide but it's a fairly straightforward pool rather than a 'waterpark'. The outdoor swimming pool is also just a standard rectangular pool rather than somewhere with lots of attractions.
Besides the pool, you can sign up for minigolf, NERF, archery, den building and some other activities.. There's also entertainment venue and two takeaways. Generally though, I consider Wild Duck to be one of Haven's quieter and less jam-packed holiday parks.

Haven Hopton facilities, activities and swimming
Haven Hopton Holiday Village has the advantage over Wild Duck of being right next to the beach.
By the way, I'm not really sure why Hopton is described as a Holiday Village rather than a holiday park. You get similar accommodation at all of the parks. Feel free to get in touch and enlighten me if you know the reason.
The beach at Hopton is sandy and pleasant and some of the accommodation has a sea view, which is a major upgrade when I'm booking a holiday.
The swimming pools at Haven Hopton are also a bit more interesting than the pools at Wild Duck Holiday Park, with one of them including an open flume and a splash area. The other pool is a second indoor pool that is more suited to swimming lengths rather than larking around.
You also get a better range of activities at Hopton than you do at Wild Duck. Things to do include NERF, an inflatable arena, a climbing wall, archery, minigolf and a 'mini aerial adventure' (a tame version of high ropes for younger children). The choice of places to eat is similar to Wild Duck, with one main restaurant at Hopton as well as some takeaway options.

Haven Caister on Sea facilities, activities and swimming
Haven Caister on Sea Holiday Park is another resort that is alongside a decent beach.
The swimming pool at Haven Caister on Sea is its weak point, as it only has an indoor pool and it's relatively small. It's got a three lane waterslide but that's about it.
However, the holiday park has a bigger range of activities than you'll find at Wild Duck and Hopton, including its own 'adventure village'.
Activities include high ropes (also known as the aerial adventure), low ropes for younger children, as well as NERF, minigolf, segways, a giant pillow you can jump onto called The Jump, archery and karts you can hire.

Haven Seashore facilities, activities and swimming
Haven Seashore Holiday Park has the best swimming pool of the four Haven resorts in Norfolk. It's described as a 'waterpark' whereas the others are more straightforward pools. There are various slides to whoosh down and buckets that dump water on your head.
The layout of the resort is quite decent too. It's certainly not as leafy and spacious as Haven Wild Duck but Haven Seashore is long and thin so most caravans don't have a long walk to the beach.
The beach itself is very similar to the beach at Haven Caister on Sea, as it's just a bit further along the coast.
There's plenty of pay-as-you-go activities, including Segways, NERF, The Jump (see the picture below), climbing activities, mini golf and den building.
The main restaurant at Seashore has a big dining area with various different types of food in one place. There are also takeaway places including fish and chips, Burger King and Papa Johns.

Which Norfolk Haven resort is in the best location?
As mentioned previously, three of the four Haven resorts in Norfolk are alongside a beach. Haven Seashore and Haven Caister are only a couple of miles apart and share the same beach. They are both your typical Norfolk style of beach with sand dunes, lots of space and shallow water.
The beach at Haven Hopton isn't quite as large, but it's still sandy. Personally, I prefer beaches like this rather than those where you have an epic journey to reach the water.
Haven Wild Duck is the exception, as you need to get in the car to visit the beach. Great Yarmouth is the closest beach and is a traditional bucket-and-spade resort with a pier and attractions. Of course, you can also drive to quieter beaches if you'd rather not lose all your money in the 2p machines.

Which Haven resort in Norfolk has the best accommodation?
There isn't a huge difference in the types of accommodation available at the Haven holiday parks in Norfolk.

There are also lodges at some Haven resorts, which comes in three different grades.

In other words, if you want a sea view then your best bet is Haven Seashore or Haven Hopton. If you want a lake view, go for Haven Wild Duck or Haven Hopton.
If you want the added space that comes with a lodge, you can go for any of the resorts apart from Haven Caister on Sea. However, Caister on Sea does have two storey deck houses, which are quite spacious chalet type properties.
All of the Haven resorts in Norfolk have the 'Saver' grade of caravan, which are Haven's cheapest. If this is all sounding a bit confusing, have a read of our comparison of Haven's grades of caravan or the official guide from Haven.

*A quick note about Haven grades: there are four main grades of caravan at Haven - Saver, Bronze, Silver and Gold. The 'Signature' grade is basically a Silver caravan with a sea view and a couple of other small upgrades. Meanwhile, the 'Signature Gold' caravan is exactly the same as a Gold caravan but it has a sea view. Some caravans come with a sea view but aren't labelled as such. The 'Signature' bit means that you will get a front row rather than having to peer past someone else's caravan. See our full guide to Haven caravan grades or the official comparison from Haven.
