5 Best Dog Friendly Haven Holiday Parks
**Haven's 2025 Offers: Easter from £65 + Summer from £215**
Nearly all of Haven's holiday parks are dog friendly, but we've picked five that stand out. We've also included a price comparison for a week in peak season. These parks that offer dog friendly features such as a dog agility course or a dog friendly beach on the doorstep.
Haven don't have a set price that you pay to bring your dog. Instead, they charge a bit extra for their dog-friendly accommodation, compared to the non-pet friendly caravans. The extra is typically £60 for a short break and about £100 for a week, but it does vary (see this blog for more details). Tourers and campers are charged £1 per dog, per night at Haven.
You generally don't get the full choice of Haven accommodation if you bring a dog. Typically, you can stay in the Saver (£), Bronze (££) and Silver (£££) grades of caravans but can't stay in lodges. There are exceptions though and you will find some Gold (£££££) caravans that are dog friendly, as well as some properties with outstanding sea views, which are called Signature grade (££££).
Haven allows up to two dogs and charges the same whether you bring one or two. They don't allow dogs that are 'listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act which are: Pit Bull Terrier, XL Bully, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro and Japanese Tosa'.
And what about other pets? Can you bring your cat to a Haven holiday park? The short answer is...it depends. The terms and conditions say that you need to ask the park's general manager before you book. You can find contact phone numbers on the individual pages for each park.
Anyway, here's our top five Haven parks for dog owners.

1. Haven Cleethorpes Beach Holiday Park in Lincolnshire (dog agility course, dog friendly beach, dog friendly restaurant)
Haven has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to dog friendly holiday parks in Lincolnshire.
Haven Cleethorpes Beach, Haven Skegness Holiday Park and Haven Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe are all good choices. Haven Cleethorpes Beach just about edges it for me as it's a large resort with lots of activities and an outdoor lazy river and space bowl waterslide, but Haven Skegness Holiday Park actually gets better reviews and Haven Golden Sands is not to be sneezed at.
We'll give a bit more detail than usual on these three, as they are all worth your consideration.

Comparing price, size and reviews at Haven's dog friendly Lincolnshire holiday parks
Haven Cleethorpes Beach is an absolute whopper, with more than 1800 caravans. We reckon that makes it the largest Haven in the UK. Haven says Devon Cliffs is the largest, but it has about 1650 caravans by my count - so they are presumably measuring in some other way such as area or visitor numbers.
Haven Golden Sands Holiday Park is also a very large resort with lots of activities whilst Haven Skegness Holiday Park is a more standard size Haven site.
All three of them have got Bark Yards, which are Haven's dog agility courses.
You can take your dog into The Carousel restaurant at Haven Cleethorpes Beach, the Quayside Café Bar at Haven Golden Sands and The Richmond Arms at Haven Skegness Holiday Park.
Haven Skegness Holiday Park is the winner on review scores. It scores 84% overall, whilst Golden Sands scores 78% and Cleethorpes Beach scores 77%.
We found there wasn't a big difference in price between the three holiday parks. Cleethorpes Beach and Golden Sands were slightly cheaper than Haven Skegness but there wasn't much in it.

Can you take your dog on the beach at Haven's Lincolnshire resorts?
The short answer is yes, you will be able to take your dog on the beach regardless of which Haven in Lincolnshire you stay at. You just need to be aware of dog bans on beaches further along the coast in the busier areas of Cleethorpes, Mablethorpes and Skegness.
The least convenient is Haven Skegness Holiday Park, as it's a little way inland. You can walk to a dog friendly section of beach in about 15 minutes or drive and pay to park on the seafront. Dogs need to stick to the area to the right of RNLI station and the Aquarium, as there's a dog ban in summer on the area near to Skegness pier.
Haven Golden Sands has the advantage of being closer to the beach. It's only five minutes from a dog friendly section of beach. Dogs can use the beach in front of the holiday park all year round, but aren't allowed on a section of beach further up the coast during the summer (around Queens Park and the funfair, if you know Mablethorpe).
Haven Cleethorpes Beach also has a dog friendly beach on the doorstep. There's a dog ban on the beach further up the coast, but it doesn't apply to the section in front of the holiday park.
Golden Sands and Cleethorpes Beach Holiday Park both have dog walking areas as well. I'm not aware of a dog walking area at Haven Skegness Holiday Park.
Price: £809 for a dog-friendly caravan at Haven Cleethorpes Beach for a week for four people in August 2025. We found a better-than-usual choice of dog friendly caravan grades at Cleethorpes Beach. As well as the cheaper grades - Saver (£), Bronze (££) and Silver (£££) - they also offered us some of the more luxurious and spacious models. That included some dog friendly Gold caravans (£££££) and Signature caravans (££££), which are those with a sea view or a lake view at Haven. See our Haven accommodation grade comparison or the official comparison table from Haven.

2. Haven Hafan y Môr Holiday Park in Wales (dog friendly beach, dog agility, great reviews, outstanding swimming pool)
Haven Hafan y Môr is a great choice for a dog friendly Haven holiday park for several reasons (well, four at least).
Firstly, it's right next to a dog friendly beach. The resort is large so some caravans are 15-20 minutes walk from the beach, but most are closer and some overlook the beach (look for the 'Signature' caravans on the booking form for the sea view properties).
Secondly, Haven Hafan y Môr has a Bark Yard, which is Haven's dog agility courses that can found at half a dozen of its resorts.
Thirdly, you can eat at The Coast House restaurant at Haven Hafan y Môr. To be fair, every Haven holiday park has at least one restaurant where you can take your dog so it's not an exclusive plus point for Hafan y Môr.
Finally, Hafan y Môr is an excellent all-round Haven resort. It used to be a Butlins, which gives you some idea of the scale. The swimming pool is one of the best holiday park pools in the UK and the range of activities and entertainment is excellent. Review scores are very good at 84% (based on average scores on TripAdvisor and Google Reviews).
Price: £905 for a dog friendly Saver caravan for a week in August 2025. This is the price for a standard Haven holiday, rather than a Haven Hideaway, which doesn't include access to the swimming pool and entertainment.

3. Haven Caister on Sea Holiday Park in Norfolk (large dog friendly beach, dog friendly dining, dog agility course)
Haven's Caister on Sea on Norfolk's coast is another solid choice for a dog friendly holiday.
The accommodation spills out straight onto a big beach that allows dogs all year round. It's a typical Norfolk beach where you get lots of space (and occasional sideways winds to ruin the fun).
It's also got a dog agility course, which is called a Bark Yard, and you can take your dog into the Mash and Barrel restaurant.
We also recommend it because it's one of the highest rated Haven resorts with customers. Current review scores are bouncing around 85%, based on TripAdvisor and Google Review scores. That's an outstanding score and puts Haven Caister on Sea in the top five.
Facilities at Haven Caister on Sea include an adventure village with high ropes and an indoor swimming pool with a three lane waterslide.
In fact, Norfolk has a glut of high-scoring Haven resorts. Haven Hopton, Seashore and Wild Duck are all highly rated and are all within a few miles of each other. Seashore has the best swimming pool. Wild Duck gets the best review scores and is usually cheapest but you need to drive 15 minutes to the beach, rather than having it on your doorstep. Haven Hopton is a great all-rounder.
We've written a comparison of Haven's Norfolk resorts if you want to go down the rabbit hole of comparing all four.
Price: £1009 for a week in August 2025 for a family of four and a dog in a Saver caravan. That makes Caister on Sea one of the more expensive dog-friendly Haven resorts. We found a choice of Saver (£), Bronze (££), Silver (£££) and Gold Caravans (£££££), but we've just included the price for the cheapest grade.

4. Kent Coast Holiday Park (small dog friendly beach, dog friendly restaurant, dog agility course, near London)
You may know Haven Kent Coast by its former name of Haven Allhallows Holiday Park.
It's slightly behind Caister on Sea and Haven Hafan y Môr on review scores, with an average of 77% compared to about 85% for the other two. The good new is that it's convenient if you live in London and want an easy holiday. You can reach the park in about an hour from central London by car. The nearest railway stations - Strood and Rochester - are about 10 miles from the holiday park or about 20 minutes in a taxi.
Haven Kent Coast makes a good effort to be dog friendly. It's another park with a 'Bark Yard' agility course and the new restaurant/entertainment venue is dog friendly (The Yacht Club).
The beach at Haven Kent Coast is a shingly patch on the Thames Estuary. It's certainly not a tropical beach and it's not as large as the beach at Haven Caister on Sea. However, it is dog friendly and it's right by the park.
The indoor swimming pool at Kent Coast Holiday Park is one of Haven's more basic pools but there are plenty of adventurous activities that you are done on a pay-as-you-go basis. That includes a climbing wall and high ropes.
Price: £989 for a week's holiday for two adults, two children and a dog in mid-August 2025. Kent Coast offered us Bronze (££), Silver (£££), Gold (££££) and Signature Gold (££££££) grades of dog friendly accommodation. They didn't offer us any dog friendly Saver (£) accommodation, presumably because there aren't any at the resort.

5. Haven Craig Tara Holiday Park in Scotland (dog friendly beach and restaurant, cheap accommodation)
Haven Craig Tara Holiday Park is quite similar to Haven Hafan y Môr - although they are 300 miles apart.
Craig Tara is another former Butlins resorts that has been revamped and now operates as one of the largest Haven holiday parks. That may not appeal if you like your caravan parks small and quiet, but it does mean it has an outstanding swimming pool and a bumper catalogue of pay-to-play attractions. Highlights include crazy-pool, a climbing wall, soft play and a NERF Training Camp.
Craig Tara is a good choice for a dog friendly Haven resort as it leads directly onto a dog walking beach.
It doesn't have a dog agility course at the park but you can take your dog into The Brigs of Ayr, which is one of several places to eat out at Craig Tara.
Reviews of Haven Craig Tara are at 76%, which is certainly not Haven's highest-rated resort. However, we have generally found that the larger parks score lower than the smaller parks and I still consider it a respectable score. It's also a great value holiday park and often one of the cheapest Haven holiday parks in the UK.
Price: £649 for a two bedroom, dog friendly apartment for a family of two adults, two children and a dog in August 2025. That is the price for a week. Most Haven accommodation is caravans but Craig Tara has some cheap apartments, which I believe were originally built during its days as a Butlins holiday park. We were also offered accommodation in most other grades including Saver (£), Bronze (££), Silver (£££), Gold (£££££) and Signature (££££) - which is basically Silver caravans with a sea view and towels included.

Price comparison of Haven's five best dog-friendly holiday parks
Haven holiday parks tend to be pretty good value, but prices certainly creep up in the school summer holidays. We compared the cost of a week in a dog friendly caravan at the five resorts in this guide. We found a pretty wide range of prices. These prices are for standard Haven holidays, which include access to the swimming pools and entertainment. You can save yourself about £50 - £200 per week if you book a Haven Hideaway holiday but that just lets you use the restaurants and not a lot else. From cheapest to most expensive:
- Haven Craig Tara Holiday Park in Scotland - £649
- Haven Cleethorpes Beach Holiday Park in Lincolnshire - £809
- Haven Hafan y Môr Holiday Park in Wales - £905
- Haven Kent Coast Holiday Park in Kent - £989
- Haven Caister on Sea Holiday Park in Norfolk - £1009
